WOW!! Alright dudes, I honestly didn't and still don't know the value of these speakers, I did figure they were worth more than $150. And, yes, I am a newbie and very excited about these speakers-sorry if I sounded "greedy, mean, etc". That is not my MO!! I'm pretty sure grandma was not longer in the picture, and this guy hated these, didn't even have them hooked up to anything, because he is not into audio at all.
I must say though, after watching Avatar in 3-D last night, I love these speakers.
Oh and P S I just bought Wineslobs Heresy's a while back and offered him less than asking-but I believe he said OBO-anyway, now I feel bad about that.

What do you think of the Horn loaded bass?
I love my La Scalas and the bass is like know other speaker I've ever heard!

The crossovers went to visit Bob about two years ago. I love the bass. Sometimes I do fill like I need just a little ooumph in the very bottom. I've got a couple paradigm servo 15's that I bought from hogman. Most of the time I don't think they need anything, but on certain songs I will likely supplement them a little.
That is how I feel about them also. Typically, at normal listening volumes, a sub isn't really needed. But at times, it is a must. A well integrated sub fills in the bottom end nicely.

In the New Testament there are two different Greek words
which have been translated repent. The word repent is an English word.
It is an obsolete old English word and means nothing to us today. It was
not even used in the Bible until the King James Bible came along in 1611.
It was translated from the compound Greek words Metanoeo and Metamellamai.
These two words have completely different meanings and remember in the
coine Greek a word can have only one meaning so how can anyone give one
definition or numerous definitions to the word repent? There must be two
and only two definitions for repent.1. Metanoeo. This is a compound word. “Meta”
means change “noeo” means thinking. This word is derived from
“nous” which means mind. So, metanoeo means to “change
your mind”2. Metamellamai. This is also a compound word. “Meta”
means change
“mellamai” means emotions. It means to have a “change
of emotions”.If you go by these two translations of Greek words, I would say Theresa did repent.
Her circumstances are no different than if I was to get angry at someone and "thought" about smacking them but repented(changed mind, changed emotions) for whatever reason, spiritually driven or worldly driven. The fact that I did not carry out that thought is a good thing in itself.

well one more who pretends not to be able to read!!! I told Teresa that she did very well in my very first post. Not one of my posts had been to complain about the deal which seems to be a troubled thing for many here obviously yourself included. My problem has been and is with Teresa's personl and publicly stated thought that she had considered to lowball the vendor for a lower price. Give what Teresa sharesd about the circumstances I said I thought this was a very sad thing. This has jack squat to do with a deal it has to do olnly with what I consider to be very poor personal behaviour. Give the comunity nature of this forum I see this as disturbing. That so many of you including the OP fail to want to see this is sad and is your business but it speakes volumes to me. Best regards Moray James.

no I am not taking this to personally nor do you seem to be willing to read or care to hear. You guys can only think about the deal and I have said for the last time I have no problem with the deal, did not say that in my first post and have repeated I don't care since then. It may well have saved granny from paying someone to dispose of them. My complaint is sreictly over the attitude that Teresa expressed and that people (more than I suspected) think is fine that of grinding the old girl further is just fine. This is very poor behaviour nothing good or decent there. If you think this is great behavior then I not only feel sorry for you but I also don't want anything to do witth you either. I never said there was an issue about the deal, read what I posted. My issue was and is with Treasa wanting to grind the old girl harder because she figured she might get an even better deal. All the time and effort which gets spent her to help others on this forum nobody asks for a thing or expects anything. Would at least be nice to think that some of that good will rubs off on others. Treasa was the one who went on a public forum to experss her thoughts about how she might have worked ganny over for an even better deal not me, She is happy enough to share her thoughts in public but gets annoyed when I tell her I think that is a sad way to be? Tresa I am sorry for you that you still feel that way even after being called on it and having some time to reflect upon the situation you still can't see it. Nothing wrong with a deal, Grandma probably just needed to make room and likely could not find a better home for them too bad I don't see that you deserve the deal. Obviously was not a sharp enough deal for you as you were itching to gind grandma a little harder because they did not look as good as you wanted them to. You know in all likelyhood they belonged to Grandpa and there would be some kind of attachment there. There may well have been a truly wonderful story behind those Cornwall speakers, something nicer than your greedy little "did I get a good enough deal?" concern but you don't need to know and probably could not give a crap about that. Think what ever you like I don't give a rats end what you think or do. This is one of those situations I wish our forum had "ignore" options so you and I can ignore each other to death. There are a few places to get the parts or replace the crossovers. Here is one that I used and am completely satisfied with --> CRITESSPEAKERS.Com

No, that's not true. Collecting money dosen't make any difference. It will be interesting to find out what the rule/law is?!! They show movies at the Park near me, which is usually "Grease", every Summer. I do know that DVD/Blu Rays are for "Private Use Only". But I don't know the rules/laws.

Good idea Bruce. At the beginning of every DVD I've ever watch has a disclaimer about "use rights". So, you'll want to check out the legalities!
Also, call the City/County about a permit to use the park. If the cost is high, maybe the elementary school will donate the space. Just a thought.Dennie
