  3. They were never difficult to setup, it was more of the end user who was not capable enough. Also Michell did not start to make turntables till 1973 when my father moved out of his factory at 2 Theobald Street, Borehamwood and to a much bigger factory in Ireland and gave Michell a licsense to produce the Hydraulic which was cancelled in November 1973 Regards Michael Gammon www.transcriptors.net
  4. Hi The Hydraulic that was used in A Clockwork Orange was supplied by my late father David Gammon in 1971 from his factory at 2 Thoebald Street, Borehamwood and not michell as did not enter the turntable business until 1973 when my father gave him a licsense to produce the Hydraulic under his name, this agreement was ended in November 1977. 5. We were based at 2 Theobald Street, Borehamwood while J A Michell was based next door to us and until 1973 was just an engineering company producing components for various companies. It was at this time that Stanley Kubrick came with his production manager and asked my father if he could borrow one for the film which he did so. 1973 my father gave J A Michell a licsense to procduce the Hydraulic Reference until November 1977. The roriginal Reference was designed in 1963 and then the Hydraulic in 1964. May father also designed the electronic reference but Michell produced this. Regards Michael Gammon www.transcriptors.net
