  1. I downloaded the Test CD which is various tones. So, once I get a SPL meter, what should I do? I presume I should play some specific tones and measure the db level of each sub individually I guess?
  2. I don't possess this SPL tool mentioned but is it possible to get some sort of mp3 test files that I could play on my blu-ray player to reproduce these sine waves?
  3. Hello all, I need your help in setting these two SUB-12's in order to obtain the best sound. Here is my setup: Receiver: Yamaha HTR-6190B Blu-Ray player: Panasonic DMP35 Front speaker: F3 Center Speaker: C3 Surround Speaker: S3 So, once I calibrated the sound with my receiver everything seems to be very good but I don't know if SUB-12 are properly set regarding phase setting (0 - 180); my goal is to obtain the best sound. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated regarding setting of these SUB's. I'm not an expert but I do have a good hearing. Also, I mostly used the system to watch movies, little of music. (80/20). Thanks in advance...
  4. Indeed, I'm a big fan of rock music with solid punch not distortion. I had a deal yesterday and I purchased my second SUB12. So, I also updated my profile to include my current home-theater equipments that I bought last year. I'm very pleased so far but when I'm watching BluRay rock concert, I found that I would like more punch. My room is pratically fully isolated with no vibration. (so far). On a side note, I'm also watching a lot of action movies and Sci-Fi.
  5. I'm currently using a SUB-12 in my rectangle room (Dimension 10 feet by 18 feet). Does it overkill to install another SUB-12 in that room? If not, what is the recommended control setting for the two subs? Phase? Gain? Lowpass? Thanks in advance for your help...
  6. Hi, I got a Samsung TV PN58A650 set on the wall with an appropriate stand. So, it is hanged with the middle screen at my eye level when I'm sit. I got some space under the TV where I can place my SUB-12 and I did some test moving my sub around the room to come up with this place under the TV. I'm wondering if the sub (being not shielded I guess) could affect my TV plasma? Is there some issues being under the TV plasma? What is the minimum distance? Thanks in advance...
  7. Thanks Peter for the reply. I have no wire run more than 35 feet so, I guess the 16AWG would do the job. If I go with 14AWG instead, it won't make any difference looking at the table, right? As far as for the subwoofer, you said coax cable is more suitable. Is there other type of wire that I can used? Thanks in advance...
  8. I'm currently building my HomeTheater in my basement and I would like to run all the necessary wires in the wall/ceiling before I finished them. So, what is the recommendation concerning wiring gauge that would more fit these speakers? Should all the wiring requires to be the same lenght? I know that the subwoofer SW-12 would require a different type of wiring but I don't know what type it is? Thanks for your help...
