if you need a sub for the heresy's, do you not need a sub for the cornwalls? im stuck between the two. i have a small sub, the one that comes with the promedia 2.1, which i can hook up to my receiver, but i dont know if it will make a difference with the heresy

you can always sit on the floor thats what i do for these coral bx-50's. theyre smaller than the heresy, sounds a lot better down there, than it does sitting on the couch.

ohh i see a pair of heresys for $250 in excellent shape and a pair of cornwalls for $700. also in excellent shape. are those good prices?

in my searches through craigslist to find some used audiophile quality speakers ive been limiting my self to the heresy, so i looked and i saw a pair of vandersteen 2ce's for sale for $400. any idea how they compare to the heresy/fortes?

Right now i have a pair of Coral BX-50's, theyre similar in size to the heresys, i believe it also has a 12" woofer, sealed cabinet, i dunno about the rest though. theyre pretty vintage, i believe coral doesnt exist anymore. any idea how they compare w/ the hereseys? the back of the speakers say, frequency 40-20,000 (program)-25 Watts (peak)-50W impedance 16 ohm? i think i guess theyre not even close to being as loud as the hereseys, but theyre pretty loud, i dunno how loud everyone listens to their music. my dad bought them in japan when he was in the airforce stationed there. so they have some sentimental value. I'd hate to spend all this money to "replace" them unless the hereseys were significantly more awesome sounding. [|-)]

i dont get it. you need the right room for them? they go in the corner? whats the difference between them and regular three way speakers like the heresy?

if i do get klipsch loudspeakers, should they at least be hereseys? i keep seeing KG-4's popping up on ebay and they seem to go for less. they would be souly for audio from my turntable. KG-4's kinda seem like those tower speakers that people use for surround sound. should i hold off on those for a pair of heresys?

haha, they might be gold plated actually heres the link http://cnj.craigslist.org/ele/1513565797.html i dont even have three grand, but its the only local deal on craigslist and i really want to get a pair of klipsch loudspeakers. right now im using a pair of Coral BX-50 speakers, a pioneer am/fm/tube amp, and a technics sl-d1. im a college kid n i work part time, but i cant afford that hi-fi stuff, but id like to somehow come close by upgrading my system in an affordable way. think a pair of used klipsh speakers would be the place to start? i dont really know much about amps, but im guessing a better pair of speakers would make a bigger difference.
