  1. Lol nice!! Could someone confirm which heights are timber matched to go with rf82 front and rc62 Center. I read a post and someone mentioned that the rb61 are not timber matched for rf82. That doesn't seem right I thought u can mix and match all speakers in the reference line. Scrappy in your sig u mention that u have the rs for rear speakers how come u chose to do that instead of using the rb's?
  2. I seen a clamp style today was surprised that the speaker wouldn't fall off there specially a rb81. Well I'm still not sure what I want to get.. I heard the rb51 today they sounded pretty good think it would be a good match with all my other 5 inch rear and surrounds. but they are the new mark ii, I'm kinda wanting to have all my speakers match I have the reference iv's. Futureshop has some rb61 I want that are old style but are 625 for the set, eek! Maybe I'll wait till they go down to 400 or so. How do you like those clamp style mounts?? Do they hold them pretty secure? Rather get something like that then have to drill thru the box. Only problem using surrounds up high is that I have a wall close to the side so the one side would be firing directly into the wall. Appreciate all the comments guys! Just read that the rb61 reference iv is not timber matched for my front rf82 reference iv. Is this correct??
  3. Oops I actually have Rs52's. I'm thinking rb51's would be perfect since my rear and surrounds are 5". Plus the rb51 have keyhole bracket like my surrounds so I can mount them easier. Would this be enough speaker??
  4. Right on. I'll have to call around and see what I can find. If I'm going to be putting these speakers close to the side walls would I have any issues with using surrounds rather then bookshelf type? well the one speaker would be kind of close to the side wall. Would there be any problems adding a new mark ii to my original reference speakers? My currrent surround is an rs-42 would it be good to add another rs42 or should I go up to a rs52. Or maybe add the 52 to the side and put the 42 up high?
  5. Wow that's a great deal for the rb61 where didu get it from?? Think I will see if I can find one. Would you happen to know if I can mount these speakers similar to the rs surrounds with the keyhole thing on the back? Thanks
  6. I have a onkyo 1009 on the way. I want to make the jump to a 9.1 setup. From what I have read this adds a pair of fronts up high. My current setup is: RF82 fronts RC62 center RS52 surrounds RF15 rears PB13 ultra sub I was thinking of going with some RB61's would this be a good choice or should I go with RB81's?? Or is there another speaker that would be better? Thanks!
  7. Over here in Canada the RC64 is $1129, I can get the RC62 for $350 each.
  8. I already have a RC62, I may want to upgrade to the RC64 in the future.. I'm located in Canada and its a special order item and quite a bit more expensive. I can get another RC62, and for the both of them it would be cheaper then buying an RC64. Would it be overkill to buy another RC62 and have them linked together for the center channel?? Onkyo 876 reciever with (2) RF82, (2) RS52, (2) RF15, (1) RC62 and SVS PB13 Ultra. Thanks
  9. I picked up my RS52s for 275 each. I picked up the last set, I may be able to find a floor model somewhere but I can get the RF15 towers for cheaper and I think they sound better then the RB61s. I can get the RF15s for 200 each brand new.
  10. I already got some, I'm thinking about going with little towers. Didn't you have some for sale before??
  11. Thanks, I'll try to find some RF52s. If I have no luck I guess I'll have to go with the RF15s
  12. I am putting together a 7.1 system with onkyo 876 reciever. I currently have RF82s mains, RS52s Surrounds, RC62 Center.. all I need is the rears. I listened to RB61s and RF15s. I really liked the RF15s with the RF82s, the RB61 didn't seem as vibrant and was lacking some punch. I read that the RF15s are not timbre matched, will this be a problem?? I am trying to hunt down a good deal on the RF52s but they are sold out and are discontinued from our dealers here in Canada. I can get the pair of RF15s new for $400 and the RF52s were $500 but sold out. What should I do?? Thanks
