  3. someone on ebay is selling refurb rsx's. the ad says direct from klipsch. does klipsch do this? don't know if they are a authorized dealer. by the way can i turn these on their side?
  4. Hamp, thanks for the HT gallery link. Will definitely be spending some time checking it out. Already got an idea to modify the stand I have now. Got to go watch a movie with the family. Thanks again eveyone, I really appreciate all your help.
  5. hi, I have RF-35s for the front. I think I will try the quintets for the rear, the size is right and probably alot less expensive than the others I mentioned. More searching. I have'nt got my system fired up yet. One reason is I dont have a place for the center speaker to go. I'm now thinking I will build my own custom stand. Some of the prices for stands are scary. I know the 35s probably are'nt a perfect match, but I'll get them hooked up and see how they sound. I got the rc-62 sent to me in lieu of an rc-35. I asked here on the forum if I should keep it or get the rc-35 and the consensus was it is a better speaker. Should be close. if not, I,ll have to save up for some rf-82s and move the 35s to the bedroom. Thanks for the info on the sub12, that's as cheap as I've seen it. I'm going to get it. Thanks again, Mark
  6. hi, I'm fairly new to this ht thing and found this thread very informative. I've been building my system slow but sure, and am now in the hunt for a sub.Ihave been trying to decide between a svs pb-10 or a sub12. If I can find it for the right price, sounds like the way to go. Anyways, I have a couple of questions maybe you can help me out with. First, would the quintets(for rear speakers) be enough for my liv. room(12x15), or should I look for some S-3s or RS-42s, the RB-xxs are just to tall and big. Secondly, Hamp, how in the world did you get your center speaker to sit on top of your tv? I have a samsung 61inch dlp, the top of it is only about 2 inches wide. my RC-62 is about 24" wide, 12" deep, and the thing weighs about 30lbs! I'm really having trouble finding a stand to fit this under the tv. Thanks for all your advice, Mark
  7. thanks for the welcome James, I also have a denon 988 that I got for christmas. I think it is basically a 2808 minus one extra room. That's what got the speaker buying thing started. I have an old set of dcm's(kv-12 i think), and they sound ok with my old jvc reciever, but was never really happy with the surround sound set-up I had(small jbl's). So now I'm looking to buy a sub, either a svs or hsu vtf-1 and a pair of rb-35s or 61s? What do you think? Darylomer12, I just was'nt sure about the timbre match thing because the rc-62 is newer I think, but keeping it seems to be the consensus. Now I have to go to work so I can pay for this stuff, Thanks again
  8. Thanks for your input. The rf35's are on sale at saturdayaudio. The rc35 is hard to find. I'm a first time klipsch owner and did quite a bit of research before buying. I really did'nt want to send anything back. Can't wait to hook these up and hear them! Hopefully this weekend. Thanks again.
  9. Hi, I just got two rf-35s shipped to me, and was suppose to get an rc-35 also(different online store),but they sent me a rc-62 instead. Should I stay with the rc-62 or send it back for the rc-35? Thanks
