  1. Do you have any more pics of that setup? What are they?? Need the info!
  2. As an avid Klipsch fan, and new forum user, it just dawned on me that some of you may be interested in this. It may not belong in this string, but as a horn lover, I find it relevent. I've had Klipsch speakers for 3 decades and always wanted to put them in a vehicle somehow. I've had this setup in the truck (not car) for a few years, but like I said, I'm a new forum user, so it's just now getting posted. Installed in my F350 is 2 USD waveguides (under dash), along with 2 6 1/2" USD midbass drivers in the doors. I've eliminated the rear speakers, so all the sound comes from the front. In the rear are 3 JL audio 10w6 subs in a custom enclosure. Powering is an old school Rockford power 650 in 3 channel mode. Filtering goes through an old school Audio Control EQQ crossover, and finally, the waveguides and mids are filtered through handmade crossovers (picture). Maybe this topic belongs here, maybe it doesn't. I've loved the sound of horns for as long as I can remember and taking them on the road only made sense, it just took me many years to figure how to do it, and keep it simple. How does it sound? You can't believe how many times I had to pull over and adjust the eq with these things! I spent 3 months driving and tuning. Still, after 3 years, I'll hear a song and pull over to tweak the eq. Was it worth it? Yes. The theory of the waveguides is that the sound travels up the dashbord, toward the ears to create a central focal point right in front of you, facing the windshield. Does it work? Sometimes. For the most part, they are very brilliant. The sound is unlike anything in a car I've ever heard, and still compare them to systems I listen to. Sometimes they are too much because of the close proximity to the horns. Sometimes they sound so nice, it brings a tear to my eye. The way the music is recorded determines the sound quality, as all systems: crap in, crap out. Over all, I really enjoy the waveguides. They have a distinct horn quality to them. Some like them, some don't. As a Klipsch owner, I have to have my horns on the road! Hope you like the pics,..sorry I didn't bother to clean the truck up first Take care, Mark
  3. Hello to the unanimous user, you didn't leave your name. Thank you for the interest in the system. I've attached a few more photos for you to see, including a couple screen shots. There's not much more to really see though. The system consists of a Carver 5 channel amp, Sony processor, dvd and vhs. And finally a Sima video switcher. I would recommend an automatic switcher that picks up whatever source you are using. The projector is wired via s video cable, and the whole system is on a single on/off remote control. The inwall are Klipsch, but I forget the model. The horns on them are on swivels so you can actually turn them in the direction you want. The projector is an Infocus. The screen is white paint and drywall. It was Sherman Williams paint, "super white" I believe it was. Trya nd get the drywall as smooth as possible, the paint and trim! Any more questions, please feel free to ask. If interested, I've also posted my 2 channel system in the "updates and modifications" forum titled "In wall Heresy's". I've attached a single photo of it here. Take care, Mark
  4. Thought I'd show a couple pics of my projector set up. Simple and space efficient. Velodyne 10" powered subs on either side of the couch round it off. I also installed an outlet and input center for video games in the floor in front of the couch. We hook the WII to it and knock everything over!
  5. Thank you Rod for the help. The Imageshack tip worked really good! Hope you enjoy the pics.
  6. Hello all,..just thought I'd add a few pics of my gameroom with the in wall Heresy's (4), and the the Corn's in the kitchen. I have 2 more Heresy's in the bedroom, and 3 Velodyne ULD 15 subs in the house. Powered by 3 Nakamichi PA7, and one PA5 amps. Preamp, Nak CA-7A, and Sony X77ES cdp. Still working on finishing the kitchen,..it's a 5 year project I'm also going to post my av system, it's fairly unique w/ Klipsch in walls. Maybe give someone an idea or two. Take care One more shout out to Rod for helping me post the pics. Wanted to add, the whole system is run off 2 dedicated 20 amp circuits hooked to a single on/off remote control. The amp box is lined w/ copper for heat disapation, with an attached variable speed cooling fan in the back that blows into the house (better than a space heater) through a vent in the bottom of the door. Love the website and thought some of you would appreciate the in wall Heresy's. For the record, I used old ratty Heresy cabinets for this install because they are now framed into the wall. I wouldn't even think of destroying good cabinets for this project. The Corn's are simply slid into a bay I made and can be accesed from the rear in the attic. The backside of the Heresys are sticking out in my garage, about the same distance as they are in the game room. Different, but I didn't have the room to put them on the floor. Hope you like it,...Mark
