Just a few places here and there keeping them from looking like they just came out of the box. The grill cloth and badges are mint.

Good morning all! In general, how much could I expect to pay for having my Klipsch Fortes re-veneered? Thanks! Towards the end of the year I'm thinking of adding some of the upgrades to my speakers that I've read about in the forum and I'm trying to put together a ballpark figure. Have a great day everybody. Idlewild South is a great album.

That's the only downside. I'm putting things together in a step by step fashion as I can afford to. According to my per/mo. saving plan, it will be July when I purchase a good quality two channel stereo-receiver, Belden 10 AWG speaker cables, and AC line conditioner.

One more.

The original owner is a great guy! He's in his early 70s and we talked and talked about vintage stereo equipment and the proper amp for these speakers. When he realized how far I had drove to pick them up and that I had never owned a stereo system, he took a hundred dollars off the price and told me I could call him anytime for advice on things related to home audio.

I feel like a kid on Christmas eve![] I talked to the owner again today and he has held them for me even though two other people have expressed interest. The four hour road trip is going to feel like an eternity.

I'm meeting with an individual this Saturday to discuss purchasing a pair of Klipsch Fortes. At present, the information I have is as follows: the speakers are app. twenty years old, black in color, single owner who paid over $1000 originally. In his words they are in immaculate condition, with original boxes and owner's manual. He's asking for $300.00. This will be my first step in building my first home stereo. Is there anything I should look for, or questions I should ask the owner. I've been reading this forum for weeks now and have just joined. Thank you in advance for any guidance. I'm really looking forward to Saturday. I've done a little reading about this model and from what I understand this is a good performer.
