  1. I now have THE following postioning THE frontpoint is now 35 cm from THE wall. THE back point 10 cm from THE front wall. THE front is 1 m from THE back wall. Measured over THE speakers middlepoint. It sounds very Nice , open. And THE. " sound of wall". Is back again. There is no narrow sweet spot Next week i buy à pair of acustic Anti reflecting materials ( my best friend use That stuff à lot when building his speakers. See kharma.com). I place them. on THE frontaal wall naar THE mouth of THE mid and see wat That Brings Have à Nice sunday you all Koos
  2. hi QH I have tried the position of 45 degrees (straight in the corners) the sound was IMO very dull, poor of brightness and no bass at all. there was not a moment a thought of a A wall of sound even not when i move closer to the speakers (i was sitting at last at my dinner table) to listen to the music, in my opinion not the most wanted and niced place to listen to music (too near) is it a better idea to move my speakers for about 30 cm with their front away fron the wall (they are now at 20 cm ; see picture) between the speakers is now my hifi equipment place and at your first drawing (70 degrees) you say that the reflections will (only) come from the wall, but IMO the sound is also going to the middle space (between) of the speakers? or am I wrong Koos

  4. hi QH I have made a drawing of the postions of the LS now. position LS.txt
  5. thanks to everyone who have given advices i will try several placements for my Lascala's. for now I have place them in the corner but not in 45 degrees intoe I thin they are toe in for 15 dgerees and directly pointed to my 'listening position that is about 6 meters from the ftont of the lascala's. the lascala's are about as widht as posible about 3,5 meters i think the sound is very bright like a wall of sound (he, where did i hear that also?) this i like at this moment greets Koos a huge Klipsch fan from from the netherlands
  6. Hi Quiet_Hollow I find it hard to believe that i can place my lascala intoe for 45 degrees in a room with a width of 4 meters my ideal listening place will become then of about three or four meters (near the axe of the two speaker lines) and i think that it is too less where i have the space till 8 meters i also think that the sweet spot will become very near (too near i think) because of the extrra space a have behind that spot (4 or 5 meters) but perhaps i am mistaken about this because I have less experience with klipsch speakers and there ideal position since now i have others speakers an they have others ideal postions (I think) therefore I give it a try and lett myself be surprised (or no Koos
Maakt hele mooie spullen. Kijk maar eens op zijn site. Kharma.com Maar hoe gek ook. Ik heb zelf Klipsch in de kamer staan j. Apart hè Veel groeten koos
  8. hello QH thanks for the advices your tip of placing them 40 degrees of toe in i can't understand quiet good. my room is 4 meters bij 9 meters and the lascala's are as wide as possible (so that's about 3.50 meters) is it then not too much to toe in for 40 a 45 degrees and another question Im thinking of placing my lascala's on damping material (only just under the feets/plastic nobs on the floorside) it will be material that is used in soundstudios/drumstudios to eliminate the very bouncing sounds. they are now standing directly on a woodenfloor therefore the lascala's will come about 2 1/2 centimeters from the ground is that a good idea or not greetings Koos
  9. Hi Quiet_Hollow I am curious how good the Al3 xover from the La Scala is. and perhaps it is better (sounds better) if I replace it with another one. I don't know witch xover sounds "better" but i know well that i like a naturally sound. not a too pumped bass or so. a honest (not a pumped) bass i like better. I am curious witch xovers you al use today in the laScala 1 Koos
  10. Hi Speakerfritz I have checked al the wires the wires from tweeter, mid and woofer are all in place on the crossover´s of both speakers. they run from the comonents nicely to the crossover and all polarity is correct the wire from the LF binding goes internally (from the back of the bindingpost) directly to the input on the crossover on the LF bindingspost (outside) comes my amplifier cable (the thicker one black and red cable you see on the picture) the crossovers are AL3 (i have checked this) the componets are all Klipsch k-77-F tweeter, K-55-M mid and K-33-E woofer at both speakers the HF and LF are not connected not by bridges and not internally I dont think that is neccesary or am I wrong and yes I am also confused if this are real factory Klipsch LaScala's or not (but on the other hand , they sound awesome good) the sellers said they are and specially made for his brother by Klipsch (by order from the reseller in the Netherlands) and when I see the lables from Klipsch on the back .................. but perhaps I am wrong Koos
  11. Hello Quiet_Hollow (and all others ofcourse) I have taken some other pictures I see marks on the back of the Klipsch company perhaps you can see if they are real or not here they are
  12. the guy where i bought them from said that they where built especially for his dead brother some 8 years ago and that he wanted that the wood has no veneer the measures are exactly like the original LaScala 1 and all the uses parts are all originals Klipsch tweeter woofer and mid and also the crossover is a real AL3 they are made of real birch ply wood they sound very well
  13. hi Wuzzzer ik heb de volgende apparatuur Klipsch La Scala type 1 Klipsch Heresy III Kharma Cereamique 3.2 crm Quad tube amp mono versions Leak stereo20 /leak point one stereo (these are the one I use on my my LaScala;s) both completely revised and playing so well cables are Kharma silver wired ones and lots of more stuff to switch to greetings Koos
  14. Hello Quiet_Hollow my LaScala is just connected from the LF to the input from the crossover the Cable that is connected to the HF is not connected this is the picture as it is
  15. of course i mean in my last post that the wire form the LF should only be connected tot the input of the cross over and the HF not at all what do you think Qieut_Hollow ? Koos
  16. of course i mean in the last that the wire from the LF is connected tot te cross over not the HF ofcourse sorry for the mistake greetings Koos
  17. Sorry somethings goning wrong this is the picture I mentioned greetings Koos
  18. hello Quiet_Hollow thanks for the pictures (and all the others too for the reply) I think I have miscommunicate about my problem and therefore I have add a picture what you see is the back of one of my Scala's you see that my cable that comes from the amplifier is connected to the LF input From that connector there is a wire (+ and -) that goes to the inputconnections on the crossover but on the HF connector you see a wire (+ and -) that is going to nothing its just hanging there without any function there are also no bridges between the HF and LF (I dont use bi amping or bi wiring) I think the wire without function was there for bi amping and think that i dont need this one at all I asume that when the wire from the HF is connected to the input from the crossover it is alright connected but I am not sure greeetings Koos
  19. Hello everyone I am a owner of Klipsch lascla for a couple of weeks (I live in the netherlands so excuse me for my english) they are looking very nice and i bought them from a trademarket because there is a misunderstanding by myself i have a quenstion tot you all i am curious about atechnical thing at the back of the lascala there are the bindingposts for LF and HF my cable from the amplifier is connected to the LF bindings and there are no connectingcables between the HF en LF connectors the LF is connected trough wire to the input on the crossover but there is also another cable at the bindingposts from the HF witch is going to nowhere, there is just a cable (original Klipsch I think)) that is just hanging at the back of the box and is connected with noting is that correct of should this cable also go to the input at the crossover ? the speakers sound good but I have a feeling taht something is not connected the right way has anyone a connecting scheme for my crossover : The AL3 greetings Koos
