  1. You could always buy my rf-62's and my rc-52? the 62's are 4 months old, the 52 is less than 1 month old! PM me if you'd like.
  2. Have you actually heard these speakers? they look nice, and for their size they are decent, but they are mediocre compared to similar priced klipsch and other brands products. Try out the higher end klipsch icons, they're only a bit more, and they sound amazing compared to these. Try out other speakers, and see what you think.
  3. Yes I have run an auto setup. How else could I place the speakers? since the picture I have raised the center on an angle to shoot towards me, and i have pulled up the 62's about 1.5 inches and toed them in a bit more. Yes I have ran auto setup. Unfortunately the RC-62 was too big in the space I need it to fit so I had to go with the rc-52. From what I read lots of people have the rc-52 and rf-62's and they love it. Klipsch even recommended that center for me. I really can't afford any higher priced speakers, as I am only 19, and I pretty much maxed out on this system. Based on my setup, and my price restrictions. And the fact that my wife's goal is aesthetics, what would you guys recommend. Thanks.
  4. The sound is fine. I mean, SQ could be better but that's not really the issue here. The issue is that the sound is very easily identified from the location it is coming, and it does not blend very well.. Has anyone compared these to the Martin Logan Preface's? I am considering those.
  5. I'm not using any specific sound field program, as you do not need to always use them. Is there a recommended one to use? thanks.
  6. Yes aesthetics is a big issue in this. The back wall was pre wired, as I wish I did not have to put them up so high, but for the time being that is where they are. The center has since been tilted up towards me and the L and R have been pushed out about 2 inched further and toed in a bit more. Still didn't help. I am much less concerned w/ SQ for movies as I am for music. 2 channel audio for music is the big issue. The left speaker always seems louder, whenever I turn up the right speaker it's either too loud or too soft. "2. the left speaker is very close to three room boundaries (floor, wall, wall2), chances are the right speaker isn't nearly as 'enclosed'. This puts each speaker in a different acoustic space with the left speaker getting more reinforcement from room boundaries. Some tweaking with your receiver's setup might help alleviate this." What settings should I be tweaking?
  7. So many of you may know by now I have been frustrated with setting up my 62's. It is very easy to identify where the sounds is coming from unless you are in either of the 2 center chairs. Does this seem normal to anyone? I must be in the center at all times or it seems unlistenable to me. I work for a HT company and this never seems to be the case in the show rooms. Very frustrated. ugh. Please email me w/ advice, post it here, or call me - 813.454.6167 Today I even pushed the out more past the entertainment center and toed them a bit more, no help. Volume on the left side also seems too high, I can't get it right.
  8. I have 2 rf-62's and a rw-12d sub. I am powering these using a yamaha 663, and am looking for someone to come take a listen, and give me their opinion on what they think. Please PM me here, as I am looking for a second opinion as to whether I should keep these or sell them. Thanks.
  9. Thanks for the input on the headphones! I don't ever use them except for when I am listening on my speakers :-( Lets start a petition for a klipsch zune dock! their ipod dock is awesome! But anyways, I will try to figure out the best way to get my files on my ps3, and then I will try that. Would it be ok if I was running an HDMI cable to my receiver, or would an optical cable for 2 channel audio only give me even better SQ?
  10. That is exactly What I am doing. Well If I have get a lot of my music digitally, what would be the best method of playing these songs. would it be better if I transferred them directly to my PS3? I know mp3 quality is only so good, but as I said alot of my collection is not actual discs. Thanks alot guys, I am thankful for not being bashed.
  11. And as for the other person, like I said I am actually listening on 2 channel enhancer because I'm playing this straight from my zune. Could this be because my zune's volume output is very low, on top of it being an mp3 file? when I listen to my zune it's normally at about +1db's, which is comparable in volume to - 15db's coming from the ps3.
  12. I don't use direct because it cuts off the sub. I do listen in 2 channel stereo.
  13. That's a good idea I may have to do that. Well there are 3 different presets you have to choose from before even running YPAO, one is "flat", one is "natural", the other is "front". I can't figure which one sounds the best. And everytime I run this my center speaker is a little too quiet. Does anyone have an idea of which of these would be best for what I'm looking for, and the type of music I like. Very frustrating, thanks for the help guys
  14. ok, so lets take a song like.... I don't know what you like. Smells like team spirit? or any modern alternative/pop rock song, w/ lots of powerchords. I listen to it, and I don't enjoy it. It doesn't sound very clean to me. I listen in my car, or on my computer, and I don't complain. So adjustments that will help that cause.
  15. well unfortunately you're right. I can't move the speakers because the wife doesn't see the benefit. And doesn't want to have to fix, and put new holes in the wall. We have a lot more priorities right now... :-( rears don't really bother me as much as the SQ of the 62's. Ugh, they're so good for lots of things too. Can someone please do me a favor and listen to something like.... Blink 182 or Green Day, at a loud volume (where you can feel it) and let me know if you think it sounds good. maybe someone can help me w/ adjustments on my yamaha receiver?
  16. well I could have gotten those for a great deal, but I chose not too because they're HUGE. My wife is pretty good, but even I think those are a bit too big for a living room area. Thanks tho. I know it's hard to ask for better and similar size, but I think my problem is that those type of speakers are just shooting right over my head. My problem is not really the SQ of the speakers alone, it is more so the placement. I was thinking if I got 2 xl-12's I could aim them down at me. I'm not sure which would be best.
  17. ok guys so based on my rear speakers and setup, do you guys have any other recommendations of a different type of speaker I could use for better SQ?
  18. Thanks! yea, they were cut off... weird I'm not sure why.
  19. well I just got the center 2 days ago. I've only watched 2 movies so far but from what I can tell it is a very nice step up from the VC-25 (best buy exclusive) that it replaced. The rears are decent. Actually, they are nice rears, but the person what had the house before me prewired the rears way to high so it isn't as good as it could be. The 62's are good for some types of music. I like the way they sound for pretty much all types of music, except rock (which just happens to be my favorite) The problem is, any time a band uses power chords it sounds very distorted and I'd rather listen on my laptop. the sub is also very nice.
  20. 2 rf-62's, rc-52, rw-12d, and some def tech rears. The rc-62 was .5 inches to wide for the entertainment center :-( All powered by a Yamaha 663 receiver.
  21. change channels? I am not sure waht you mean. like from 2 channel to 7 ch? If that's what you mean, well I don't know, because I like to listen to music in 2 ch stereo..
  22. yea, overall I am very dissappointed w/ my overall setup. Maybe it's the fact that my 663 receiver doesn't have enough power or a number of other things. I just find myself wishing I went w/ the martin logan prefaces. ugh. Anyone in the tampa area want to help me out?
