Thanks for all of the feedback. Previously, I had towers in the back-but the remodel won't accommodate them. To compensate for he loss of bass in the rear, I'm adding a second RSW-10D to the set-up. Hopefully, in this relatively small space there won't be a lack of low end.

is the rsw-10d your only sub? Reason I ask is that they are fantastic for music but they don't got much in the low end for movies. Maybe instead of a second one you keep it and but a different subwoofer for movies. Something from an ID company.

I have two rsw-10ds. I also have a jamo d7 that I don't have hooked up but I could potentially reincorporate it. It's (the jamo) just huge and rates low on the WAF and a bit difficult to place in the new set up.

slight scartch to top of one speaker only available in certain light (looks worse in photo than in person). Minor discoloration to one speaker at th top from sun exposure.

I previously had RB35 and I don't hear a difference between them and my RS62ii in my setup. I think you'll be just fine using either one as a rear surround

How high up do you have the RS62iis? Are they angled at all?

I've read the preference for RBs as the rears in a 7 channel set-up and RSs as sides. However, in my remodel, I am considering flush mounted RSs in the rear (either my 35s or the 52s) due to the challenge of where they have to be placed.

Anyone running RSs as the rear, and if so how do you like them?

Thanks everyone. The room is essentially 23.5ft by 23.5 ft. My guess is that there will be about 10 feet from the back of the seating area to where the rears would have to go.

So I am finalizing the remodel of the bonus room (please excuse the mess). The space where the TV currently is will be removed and that wall will be made flush opening up that space a bit so we can reorient the room.

The room is 550 Sq ft with a sloping roof line on each side. The plan is to build in storage in the corners of the wall where the painters tape is with built in space for subs and then a shelf with the TV and RB on top and the RC-64 under the TV on a shelf. My plan is to move the RS35s to midway back on the walls and position the couch about 12' from the TV.

I can't decide if it's worth adding two more RBs to the rear wall (or ceiling) to go to 7.2 instead of 5.2. The placement will be tricky and require a lot of snacking of speaker wire, but now would be the time to do it while I am having all the drywall work done.

This will be used for 70% over the air TV and 30% movies.

Thanks for the ideas everyone. I would love to find some RB75s (unlikely), but am also focusing on the 81s and 35s. It seems as though the 81s are widely available as the 81 iis are still in production and seem to be around 625. I've seen a couple of 35s for around 450. Now it's a question of determining any real advantage of one over the other for pairing with the rc-64.

$450 for 35s is too high. Standard used price should be more around $300.

That's what I was wondering. That might also explain why the two sets I ran across had been sitting a while.

They are the RF35s (not RBs). I was hoping someone might be interested in a trade toward RBs (81s or 75s), but I can research prices and post an outright sale price for them.

I am in the process of swapping out components of my system. What will have to go are two black RF-35s and some older generation Klipsch towers that were rears.

I am looking for RF-81(ii)s (or 75s, 35s) as replacements.

I'll need four total, but can buy in pairs and use different options for front and for rear.

The 61s seem like a relative bargain for sure.

The 61's are really nice speakers.

Don't overlook the RB-35's or if you can find a pair, the RB-75's. The 75's are "bookshelf" speakers on steroids.

It's time to remodel the bonus room and the compromise is that we do a built in shelf that runs the length of the wall and all components have to housed there.

This won't be an issue for the RC-64 or for the RSW-10d; however, the RF35s will have to be swapped out for bookshelves. This is a family media room that will be used more for cartoons than anything else but will also see movie and football duty. Relatively small room.

I was thinking RB81s but will be open to looking for pre-owned or trades as I am needing to move my RFs.

Any suggestions or things to keep in mind?

No problem...sometimes in these threads I get a little lost in tracking communication.

I did some research on the Sharp banding issues from last year after reading your post-that sure wold suck to get a TV with a known issue.

I really hope the new TVs provide greater reliability. As of right now, I am still enjoying the Quattron. It's kinda funny, b/c I tend to be the person who does not buy the newest offering from a company but waits around to read reviews and for prices to drop (fingers crossed).

I decided to go with the largest Mirage book shelf speakers I could (the OMD 5s). I am going to start with those in a 2.0 setup and add an MM-6 in a sub is needed. I'll let everyone know what I think of the system once it gets up and going.

I calibrated the picture based on a review wherein the reviewer had calibrated off a disc. Picture out of the box was very good but a bit too bright for my eye. The calibration led to, in my opinion, very good flesh tones and a good looking picture; however, I did sacrifice a bit in the black department when I did the calibration-I think the slight loss in black levels was a good tradeoff for the overall effect.

In terms of out of the box black levels compared to a plasma, they were not plasma like (at least not as good as a higher end plasma); however, it does a great job providing realistic image reproduction of flesh tones and other images it reminds of a plasma in that respect.

This is my first Sharp (and my first LED/LCD). I have been a Panasonic and LG fan of late and a Sony fan before that (as evidenced by the gigantic Sony CRT I have listed. Having said that, I like this TV so far.

It is an edge lit LED in answer to your other question (or UltraBrilliant edge-lit LED backlight as they call it).
