  1. And the superorbs actually are bad because they put too much pressure on the CPU and not only cause the CPU to have a shorter life span, but can sometimes cause the CPU to suddenly stop working.

  2. Don't worry, everyone asks stupid questions sometimes wink.gif Well it's actually better for the 4.1's to be hooked up to a 5.1 card because on a 5.1 card there is a front channel, rear channel, and center. The 4.1 speakers come with two 1/8" plugs that each plug into the front and rear channels of the 5.1 card. You just won't have a center channel, which is not much of a problem if you adjust the settings for your soundcard so that DVD's don't use the center channel. Hope I answered your question.

  3. I looked on the SVS website at the 25-31PC sub and they give you the amp wattage (190 RMS) but I could not find the dynamic power of that model sub and the higher models. If anyone could help, thanks.

  4. I decided to mess around with the logo also, because Paragon inspired me. smile.gif Check these out:

Sorry if they take a while to view, I did not want to compress them, they would lose quality. Paragon, I really like yours, if you could just modify it somehow to look more exciting... biggrin.gif

  5. Admiral,

I am getting my 4.1's on Tuesday, but even without listening to the 4.1's ever, I can trust you very much when you say that if you hook up diff speakers, the system will sound better. I was wondering, since you sound like you know a lot about speakers, that if I bought the Klipsch SB-2 Monitor (Synergy series) do you think that is a good replacement for the 4.1 sats? And if it isn't, could you give me a suggestion, other than the Paradigms, for substitute speakers? I also am much more of a music person that gamer or moviegoer, so audio quality is number one, but I don't have much money. Thanks.

  6. The reason you probably can't tell a difference audibly is because the main reason the new 4.1's sound better is because of the new crossovers. When you get the new CP-1, you get the headphone jack and the aux input, but you don't get the new speaker crossovers. But what would I know, I don't even have a 4,1 yet. wink.gif

  7. In the After Hours section of the latest PC Magazine, the Klipsch 2.1's are given the PC Magazine Editor's choice and score 5 red dots on a scale of 1-5. The Klipsch v.2-400's score 5 red dots, but do not make the Editor's choice. If you are evil and are interested in non-Klipsch audio products, I suggest you check out the issue. Anways, as The Rocker says, ROCK ON Klipsch!

  8. Hey does anyone remember the show "Duck Tales"? It was a kids cartoon show with lots of ducks to put it simply. It's theme song was something like:

Da na na na na na na na, Duck Tales!!!

Da na na na na na na na, Duck Tales!!!

I personally think that Hofy should have an official song for his duct tape company, and that it should be like:

Da na na na na na na na, Duct Tape!!

Da na na na na na na na, Duct Tape!!

Hey Hofy, if this song becomes a big hit, how about you set up my Pro's for a free mount and a percentage of your profits? wink.gif

    GO DUCT TAPE!!!!s>

  9. seb,

the reason for the 350 watts is because i am a big gamer, and in the future i will be buying a top-of-the-line video card that i guarantee will demand a lot of power. i am subscribed to pcgamer, and i have read lots articles pertaining to making sure you have enough power for a high-end graphics card. for example, the ge-force ultra cards require a decent amount of power. and in the past, like i said before, my video card was the reason for my system crashing because of the lack of power. but thank you for reminding me...i am going to ask a friend, who just built his computer with a new graphics card and ask how his power supply is doing.

everyone else thanks for your help.

  10. i am 90% that this sort of thing is possible. if you go to a specialty electronics store (i.e. RadioShack) you might be able to find a 'switcher' which you connect all the outputs into, and then you connect the speakers to, and when you want to switch between them, there are either buttons for each output, or a slider. my friend had one of these, because he too has a tv and two computers in his room. i'm very sorry i don't have any specifics of this sort of thing, as i just saw it once at his house. if RadioShack doesn't know or have a such thing, you might want to go to an online electronics forum and ask, i guarantee they'll have info.
