GLWYS...again...can't believe someone hasn't stolen away with these at this price.

To a prospective buyer....remember you could change these to a 2 way active UG Jubilee without too much trouble.

what does an upgrade(?) like that cost and do to the sound?  Kinda thankful these are somewhat far away.  Really like my lascala but i suppose these would be close to endgame speakers

  2. Maybe shipping available?  I know there are some looking for single Heresy's here

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/275905451912?hash=item403d3f1788:g:EvYAAOSw~NRki6A2&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAAwJVC8Ej4MpQ49TJVSsQ%2FaYHsoslY6DemKbiu%2FSdwYBAQ%2BkZM42Bi7qarxVSGDnqcFuQmpaFXsYNm3CP0gIDbMEOq%2BkorZ2lB1FTufNg3soGB8EoAvs93bvLDm5npPJ6Olqt2cpza%2BpDsQkSt6RD16BRh8Of8j5W4l8NtHn7pMEXN2spqc28yEmuOBfsEFtsHoJIlPtZ3od61pg%2FlUoazMCOTn4KXP%2FCF7EF8x0cgivNWKP1BjhEy9aAaGZbgJnwawg%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR4CH7tS8Yg

I just ordered a single new Heresy IV black for a center channel yesterday and this pops up in my email today.  Ugh.

Seems like a pretty solid deal.  I'm almost hoping there is no shipping on this so I don't feel bad about my order.

  3. I picked up a pair of La Scala II's earlier this year.  I had originally planned to have the RF7 in a home theater setup and then the LSII in a 2 channel setup, but thinking its too much going on in the same room, so have to sell 1 set.  The RF7iii have a lot more low end but I'm building a pair of 18" subs so I'm hoping that will round out the LSII nicely.

I have A/B'd them both several times and the LaScala just sound wider and fuller to me (with my crappy room acoustics).

    Going for Heritage multi-channel? :)

    Thx.  I think so.

The vertical center will work much better in my setup.  Still not sure about the rears.  I want to make sure the mid/high is at ear level but would really prefer not to deal with stands.

    So we'll see

  5. For Sale

    1 pair RF-7iii black ash
    1 RC-64iii black ash
    1 pair RP-600M black ash
1 pair Monoprice Monolith speaker stands

All speakers in great condition.  I'm not aware of any marks on any of them.  I have all boxes and grills.  Speakers are hooked up and can demo for serious buyers.  Possible partial trade for a pair of Klipsch Forte II in black or a single Heresy IV in black.

$3250 pickup in St. Petersburg, FL

I bought this pair of Klipsch Epic CF4 from someone and was rushing back to work so did not check it carefully. Turn out the 4 subwoofer were replaced. They are B&C HPL 12hpl76-8 sub. They’re listed for $260 each on amazon. There are 4 so around $1000. The cabinets are in perfect condition just some scratches. I do not want anyone to experience what happened to me but I think this would be a good project for someone willing to put in a bit of work. Trying to get back part of what I’ve spent.

  7. I'm limited to about 32" max height on the center.  I think I measured and a quartet would fit, I believe.

Also have a ultra short throw projector which already sits out into the room under the screen. So a big box speaker like a belle or LS won't work.

As for the center, as long as it sounds on par wirh the rc64iii I have, I think I'd be OK with that.

  8. Thinking about heritage speakers (or something on the same level) all the way around for 5 channel home theater.

with LaScals L/R and maybe Heresy as a center, what so you think would be a good matching rear?  Right now i have rp600m on stands but really would like to move to a floorstander.

    Forte?

    Why not a Heresy I with a k55 mid?

I personally prefer the tractrix mid of my quartet to my heresy I, but I’d think the heresy will better match your la scala.

the prices people want for H1 bugs me.  I'd rather spend a couple hundred more and get a new IV.   But I'll always take another option to look into.

  10. currently have k-55-x in LS II.

my current center (rc-64iii on a temp box) is 30" high and works out ok so it doesn't appear the quartet would be any taller, which is good.

The speaker is out a bunch from the wall as it sits in front of my ultra short throw projector, so the smaller the better for the center, I'd say.  Current speaker is 44" out from the screen to the front of the speaker

Will keep an eye out for a nice quartet set.

  11. Seller removed the ad.  I asked if they sold, cause they had just responded to me an hour before.  They said they are considering keeping them.

Once I can decide what I'm doing with the La Scala and RF7's, I might just end up ordering new Heresy IV.  I figured I spent a grand on my RC-64iii, so the same on a single heresy isn't that out of whack.

  12. Thinking Forte for rears but I think they are too tall for my center and would block the screen.  I only have 32" below.  I think maybe a quartet would fit but might be a little too big and in your face.

You can use also use the Forte III-Forte IV as centers ,  the Forte III-IV  Tractrix  Mumps Mids horn would make a fantastic center
