  1. Thanks, for the input, the serial numbers put these at 1964. I will get some more photos up if anyone is interested, as both inside and out they look like they just came out of the box. there isn't even any dust inside. I have heard some people describe speakers that "disappear" and these do just that. I have 4 sets of different vintage speakers in the room, and I sometimes have to walk up to them to make sure it is them that are playing. Thanks, Donald
  2. Bo, A tad cowded inside, but here is a photo. I will have to pull the board to see the tag, but there is no "type" printed on the tag, only the 4-R stamped in the last columm. Thank you, Donald
  3. Bob, I forgot to add, there is no type listed like on your photo, It only sany Klipsc Balancing Network, the the driver tags, and then stamped into the type at end of the tag is the 4-R Thank you, Donald
  4. Bob, Thank you, I took another look with a glass, and it looks like 4-R rather than B My capacitor are thinner and one is between the coils and the other up on the edge of the board next to the network. Thank you, Donald

  6. Hello Lads, thank you all for ringing in on the new caps for my Herey's, but after opening the backs, and scratching my head I don't see any traditional capacitors. The network info plate is marked tyep 4 B. there are two large coils, of which one is maked 0.5 MH a transformer and the network itsel There are two aluminum components that are about 2 inches square, theat I will have to remove to read, but that's it for any componenets The drivers are marked .. Tweeter K-77 Mid K-55 Woofer K-22 The aluminum packs will need to be removed to read, as the info is stamped into the case. So any input on this? Thanks, Donald Bowman
  7. Hello All I posted in the past onidentifying my Heresy's They are 1964 Heresy's serial number 12 and 13 with the woven cane grills. They do sound very good, but I do notice a somewhat dull spot overall when playing vinyl. I am no stranger to recapping, as I did my 2 Sansui receivers at 90 caps each and my Pioneer HPM 100's But I was fore warned and for armed on those projects, and I need some help in order to do my Heresy's. It is really cramped in there, and there is a transformer in the mix, so any help for a parts list and the removal of the X over to install the caps would be of great help. Thanks, Donald bowman
  8. Hello all and Thank you, After listening at legth, and just looking at those incredible woven cane grills, I am going to keep them for now, They do sound as if they could use a recap, I have recaped all my JBL's and Pineers, and it was pretty straight forward, these look a little different. Anyone have suggestions on the recap process for the original Heresy? BTW, after all the help I should let you know what I paid for them at the estate sale, don't call me names or hate me, but the truth is, they were marked $20.00 and I paid $15.00 for the pair. 9. Wow! a $100.00!! I have a pair of Klipsch KG 5.2 that I use for my front speakers on my Home theater, and I bought these to add to my 70's receiver collection. They sound great, but not as good as my JBL L100 or Pioneer HPM 100 on my solid state gear. I tested them on a friends tube amp, and they were fabulous, a very rich and warm bass and clean treble. So I may end up selling on Ebay as their sound doesn't translate as well as I had hoped on my solid state gear. Thank you all very much for the help and input. Donald Bowman
  10. Thanks for the reply, but please note that it is the photo that is turned on it's side, not the speaker. I was 16 when these were built, so I think I know how to use speakers. LOL
  11. Poor shot of tweeter horn. Hard to see as it is tucke in.
  12. Heres the back, I will open the back later today and send a photo. That's the registration card still stapled to the back. Thanks, Donald
  13. The last photo is the only bad spot on the cabinets. heres the top of the other
