  4. Hi there friends Iv been reading alot on this forum but by choice im still at a halt , id like to know wot people think About wot cud be best contender at playing music from amongst the 3 I own the rf3s But hv been hearing goodies abt the other 2 I bought the rf3s for $410 But here in my land i cant find klf easily, and the only guy who owns a klf30 lives in karachi (1200 km away) Is asking $1200 And a forte owner is asking $850 I wonder is any of these prices justified for the difference i wud get sonically Plz advise And do tell abt the typical sound characteristics of each in ur own view Thanks
  5. hi there i wonder which one of these is the most musically tuned speaker as someone pointed it out that accuracy is not what always wins its the sonic pleasure that any (not so accurate ) speaker produces that finnally rules ur heart can anyone high light his experiences regarding a listen to the above stated brands
  6. hi there i have been listening and reading that rf 7s are gr8 speakers andklf speakers are rock speakers and heritage are bla bla speakers and god knows wot wot id like to know is wot makes the distinction that one speaker is the musical one and the other not so wot i understand so far is that, the speaker that has more crystal highs (more accurate ) tends to be called less musical wot the heck!!!!! as for me , i own rf 3s i like em not love em they havent shown their mettle till now perhaps of my poor electronics as compared to many of u guys ;(
  7. ur english is confusing whose side are u on plz be clear ! thanks i dont know much english , sorry
  8. bro i wudnt jump into other speakers i love klipsch they are sensitive and powerful and not power hungry at all neat clean few watts is all that is required ,i guess
  9. quad 303 vs klipsch rf -3s ? how wud i best the sound output with this setup im lacking in powwer
  10. hi there im using quad and the above mentioned RF-3s and have been enjoying it for a couple of months now if anyone has experienced something like this combo, pls lemmi know how can i improve the overall sound the quad has surpassed the sound of most japanese made amps iv used which include pm 94 and the axz 911 jvc victor i even used the musical fidelity A1 it had a better sound , but later on i preferred the mellower yet clean sound of my quads the A1s are a bit bright ,imho with klipsches tell me if i shud use a dual mono block quad 303 setup wud that be a substantial improvement or wud an amp upgrade benefit me more hoping to hear some views thanks
  11. Tigerwoodskhorns Hey ! Wot tad pioneer speaker models were those, which u purchased and u say were a competition for the b&w 800 . Well im really surprised how r u saying that As these 800s r pretty much near the best of b&ws Pls elaborate the models u compared and where and wot was used in electronics and wot salient features u really observed with those tad ones And yes , wot price Did u pay for a pair of em and the 800s too
  12. Bill Thanks This maths account , i read it somewhere too,but do u think it goes on n on with loudness with all speakers ? I dont think so As the air compression limits a speaker to go louder at the same rate beyond a certain level Also that i havnt heard anyone say he went to 130 db or so using klipschorns and 200 w power amps They usually use tubes of less than 40 watts or so But do they really go that loud to ear bleeding levels transiently ,lolz? I wonder
  13. Klipsch designs have their emphasis on efficiency and dynamics, which results in lower distortion and reduces the problems associated with power compression -- not a smooth frequency response. The frequency response can be smoothed out, but not without sacrificing some efficiency. There is no free lunch. A good tubed set-up will soften the transients for a perceived smoother output. which post of mine r u referring to???? this one or some other ?
  14. hey newby welcome to this land of audio maniacs well i used to love big speakers with depth of sound and boomy bass until yes until i met this guy , a cousin of mine, who showed me his system he had a pair of bookshelf speakers and a pre power amplifier setup from rotel , 40 watts only the speakers ,yes , wilson duette changed my world from that day on , i never looked for a subwoofer never dreamed of buying anything that sounds like a subwoofer ,lolz hope u understand , music needs to be flat end subs are too artificial for music , but nevertheless they do gud for movies , imho hope that helps

  16. wow i had gone out yesterday to a local cinema to watch the new movie 2012 . this new cinema has the new JBL cinema sound system pretty powerfull and enveloping (7.1 or God knows how many point ones !!! lolz ) i used my SPL meter there and at the maximum loudness it rose to peaks of 101 dbs only i was disappointed at the out put levels i usually watch block buster hollywood movies at home using my 2 channel klipsch system comprising of the RF 3s Going through the movie king kong i checked out the peaks ,where the KONG fights the big bad *** T REX and to my surprise it was averaging 112 dbs , and yet there was no sweat , no distortions , no shrieking , no awfull noises whatso ever from those speakers and the peaks were somewhere around 119 dbs i call that powefull i am not using any subs my living room is about 17 by 32 with a false ceiling at 9 feet can anyone share his experiences
  17. deanG thanks dear i guess what u said is wot the whole klipsch community is screaming klipsch n tubes lolz have u come up with any network modifications for rf3s , i wonder wot u may say
  18. messing with the klipsch crossover ? lolz? thats an idea !!! but i wonder how many guys here in my country wud be credible enough to top over the klipsch engineers to do subtle changes in the crossover and bring out the best out of em changing to another amp wud hv been easier ,lolz how abt a vintage marantz , like the pm 8 or pm 94
  19. jacksonbart its not that im interested in buying wilson in particular they blew me off and forced me into loving bookshelves from the very first sitting i cudnt take up the concept of getting a fuller sound from such small creatures my question was on delicacy of sound and softness can i have it from rf 3s shud i change my amp? i have jvc and a quad 303 as u can check the link u sent me is of palladium , iv gone through it a couple of times did u send it to compare wilson plz reply both queries

  21. can anyone post a piccha of their system showing fortes in a 5.1 setup id just like to see how a forte centre or a quartet centre wud look ,in the front row next to a tv screen it makes me wonder
  22. hi there all i wud like to know from u experienced guys out there if KLIPSCH RF 3S can possibly deliver the sound delicacy and gentleness that comes from the likes of wilson audio bookshelves or the paradigms studio 100 , studio 20 and the psb 6T as those are a few models that iv listened to, with various electronics , ranging from NAD rotel, quad, art-audio tubes , and the legendary pm 94 marantz, VAV integrated stereo amp, and the jvc axz 911 i personally enjoy the smoothness of my celestion9 mated to my quad 303 amp also that is it possible to get the same headroom of sound (like from a gud headfone ) from these floor standers in any instance , keeping in mind the nuisance of acoustics and ambience in rooms plz advise about how i can get the best out of my klipsches i really wana have the best sounding system out of em
  23. hey dtel wot system r u running for ur 2 channel audio bliss!! id like to know how satisfied r u with the klipsch products so far coz i think im not getting all that i had expected from my rf3s here [:'(] i use my victor headfones attached to my audigy 2 sound card , and still enjoy the details and the softness and the warmth but it doesnot happen with the jvc 911 amp and the rf3s wots wrong? apart from the room acoustics , and the ambience
  24. bruce it feels really gud to return back home from work and sit online for some audio experience sharing , esp klipsch stuff im really enjoying the responce from guys like urself stay tuned and thanks
