    hi there folks

i experienced a couple of very hi end quality speakers the slh 5 from pioneer ,not long ago

they were better sounding than rf-3s [:'(]

even though we didnt use the same electronics

well as for the power ratings , they were only 40 watts and 92 or so db sensitive

and to my surprise they were hitting 106 db peaks ,and 100 db continuous music, with grip and muscle

and without leaving the delicacy of the musical signal offered by the art audio tubes 100 watts each mono block

    RF-3s are so powerfull (150 w rms, and 600 w peak)

i wonder wots the difference wud be

as we only stay around that kindda 106 db volumes for not so long ,in music,

can anyone highlight the possible differences ,wch our beloved klipsch wud show ,considering its more power handling and sensitivity and dynamics

  4. i compared my rf 3s with a pair of psb 6Ts in a 2 channel config

it seemed that the psbs were more delicate sounding

and instruments were suspended in air and not coming from the speakers

whereas the klipsch had raw power

no amount of amp volume seemed to have the straining on em

am i missing something here, as i think psbs were a better choice here

    im dissappointed at this comparison

the amp used was nad 773 for both the speaker brands

    pls comment

  5. hi there folks

i just used my android cell fones db meter to workout how loud cud my speakers go

and it went to 117 db on a very dry trance type of music with no vocals

but the amplifier jvc ax-z 911 had hardly been strained with the vol knob up at 10 o clock only

and man that was loud as hell

i connected the kenwoods and they rose to a 94 db mark only

    thats a huge difference

    any comments are welcome

  6. hi there

im eager to hear some experiences from u guys out there

wch one of these is better

    for both movies and movies

wot feeling do u get listening to these individually

i mean tone, character, forward vs laid back sound projection

wch one wud go better with my 40 watts quad 303

    pls help

  7. id like to know ,if the bass extension deficit in the heresies ,any problem for music and movies

why did they not design it to go lower n deeper ,

afterall its the same driver used in other heritage line speakers that go to 32 hz,;)

wud the RB-5 or the likes of rf series beat the old heresys in terms of musicality

    if yes , explain

    if no ,explain too

  8. dear romak

isnt that a mix between analogue kind speaker and a digital amp

i mean the 3805 vs the klipsches u hv

plus who so ever does a denon or a yamaha with the klipsches ,i just feel hes not doin justice, and his sound outcome wud stay

    amateur

    pls share ur experiences

  9. hi there willland

thats a heck of a rack of gear uv got !!! great job man

can u tell how much the stuff has been costing u

also plz suggest prices for chorus and fortes and of quartets equally

    well

given the small differences in the looks are these extended heritage speakers any different in their

    sounds too?

and wot differences were made in the mk 2 of each of these

    plz illuminate

  10. yup

tubes is the way to go man!!

iv heard the reference line (RF-82, RF7 and RF-10)quite a lot many times with the likes of yamaha and denons

but am never impressed with the sound

    everything seems metallic

but just as u couple in a gud analogue amp ,especially tubes.klipsch starts its magic

phenomenal 3d sounstaging and life comes to the same music

thats where it beats many other speakers from decent companies

  11. i listened to a forte 2 coupled with an adcom

    the experience was nothing special

i came home and had a detailed listen to the same tracks on my bookshelf spkrs

and i dreadfully say that the klipsch adcom combo had failed to impress me

itt felt as though the highs from that super tweeter were restrained and the amp wudnt

let go the speakers to brighten up on the highs range

i felt as if there were no tweeters

    [:S]

  12. dear william .mc d

i dont get it , why would a more newer speaker (rf-3) or any of the reference line gear, be less of a pleasure than the oldier models , which were bulit in times of lesser technology and lower tech machinery in those same factories owned by the same company ;)

    and

why are the so called AV speakers always less pleasing or less desirable than the older MUSIC dedicated speakers like heritage series or the legends.

  13. i just listened to a pair of horn speakers of very high quality but by the not so well known brand in speakers , PIONEER ,and the model was SL-H5

run by mono blocks of ART AUDIO MAESTRO

    110 WATTS CLASS A EACH

    using SONY X55ES cdp

    and van den hul cables

    i cudnt believe the magic!!!!

and that these were something by pioneer

and i wonder how a pair of RF3s wud sound with those tubes

wud they beat the slh 5

can anyone tell , someone with experience with that combo

plz im desperate for some info

    thnks

  14. hi there

  15. hi all

does any of you can high light the main differences klipsch has brought in, between these two species

are my rf3s any poorer than the rf 82s

wel, aging doesnot bring speakers down , i believe [:P]

is there any other brand speaker that u think beats the klipsch rf 3 at that price range and how
