  1. I know I have a bad din on the subwoofer too. I was gonna try to repair mine too. Glad I saw your post. How did you get it off. i noticed theres that brown stuff all around it. Do you just scrape that off? Anyway i got 3 bad subwoofers that I could use for parts. Maybe I can use one of those dins?
  2. sorry! my bad. I thought you were talking about the promedia ultra, which I have. Yah they dont have for the promedia. sorry again.
  3. thanks, Ill try that! it started making a noise on me, so I figure Id take a look. I bought a new one from Klipsch a few weeks ago. Then I noticed another one of my speakers sounded sub par. So I tried to order another one, except this time site says they are out of stock with no backorder. Anyway are they fixable, or even upgradeable? Thanks for the info!
  4. Tried to take one apart today, and couldnt do it. I got about half of it started but the other half wouldnt give. Does anybody know?
  5. dont know if your still around, but i have 2 pro media 2.1 and 5.1 both with the left channel out. your solution sounds good. would still like to use the speakers though. maybe a used system like log itech or creative. just to get an understanding you dont use klipsch contoller anymore? Is the logitech hookup you have similar to the klipsch with the amp in the sub and a seperate controller and has a din input?. If you wanted to could you just replace the logitech subwoofers with the promedis. is the sound comparable? thanx Budunski
  6. Hi! new to this forum as of today!. No knowledge at all about this stuff. Thanks to you and everyone else in advance for sharing your knowledge. My pro media 2.1 left channel is out, so Im attempting to disassemble to take a look. anyway checked the fuses and looks ok. Is the power supply the big heavy unit that sits inside. looks like theres 4 nuts to remove? Anyway 2 of those nuts look like they are kine of hard to get to. I think I can get them off, but how about putting them back on? How do you hold the nuts to get them back on? I guess once you have that big heavy unit out, it looks like it would be easier to take a look. Anyway I see 2 boards that look exactly the same and all the numbers start with 3 one one board. and with 4 on the other. They each have a fuse. Would they be for left channel/right channel? After taking a long look. I didnt exactly see anything burnt or obvious, there might be a little darkness on the inner board down by R309 - R311, cant really tell, because its the inside board. Do you happen to know which one is left and which one is right, that is if it works that way?. Sure I have a bunch of other questions, but I just better take it step by step. Thanx!
