  1. would you want to work out a deal? I have a RC 64 and am looking for CF 3 's
  2. I have some RF 7's along with RS 7's in the back as well
  3. Well I have been waiting on the Emotiva UMC 1 to come out but running out of patiance, qny idea how the 2 would compare?
  4. Ok I think its time to upgrade my Pioneer Elite. Im running 2- RF7 s with Deans upgrade in the front and 2- RF7 s surround and RS 7 s rear, RC 64 center RSW 15 sub along with another 12 " Klipsch sub. I have a Emotiva XPA 5 and XPA 2 amp so there is plenty of power. I have a Samsung 64" plasma so HDMI is preferred, my budget is $2000 +/- I have looked at Sunfire,Integra,Marantz,Denon Yamaha etc......I do have the ability to add front heights in fact they are already there just not hooked up to anything. I am even open to something used, all opinions would greatly be appreciated or if someone comes across a great deal let me know. I have noticed there are some great deals on receivers now maybe I would be better off getting one of those and just using the pre-outs?????
  5. Ya I had to pass on the good deal, after all I got the RF 7 s for free now not to mention still have a RF 35 (not sure what to do with it but I have it)[]
  6. I have a deal pending at $225 and they are cherry.
  7. Wonderful idea! Any idea what 1 RF 35 might be worth?
  8. I felt bad enough for taking advantage so I flipped him an extra $50[]
  9. I have the XPA 5 and I think its worth the extra money in fact im ordering the XPA 2 to go along with it. In my opinion they are an incredible value for the money. The sale ends at the end of the year and to find a used one is very difficult so they really hold thier value.
  10. I will actually be getting rid of the RC7 as I already have one along with a RC 64 and im not sure but I think it will be difficult to sell "1" RF35. As for the RF 7s I set them up as surrounds to go with the front RF 7s and RS 7s in the back and it sounds incredible so I think im keeping those.
  11. So im looking around craigslist on Monday and happen to go to Flagstaff AZ and see an add that says Klipsch $200 and has a picture of 4 speakers of which 2 really looked like RF 7s, so I email the guy and he knew nothing about them so I asked him to read the back and sure enough 2 RF 7s-1 RC 7 and 1 RF 35, so im thinking ok the guy wants $200 each which would sill be a good deal but he says "ya I would like to get $200 for all but I know the economy is bad".So I get there thinking these have got to be trashed but exactly the opposite they are in perfect shape! So needless to say Santa came early this year.
  12. Wescott- In addition it is kinda hard to listen to YOU when you dont know the situation, obviously bookshelf speakers on stands wouldnt work.
  13. When did I ever give the "No Thanks" attidude??????? I welcome and have been listening to everyones opinion so you my friend are mistaken.
  14. Im actually on the hunt as we speak for some Heresy's to buy, the opening that I have in the cabinets are actually quite large is there a different heritage line of speaker that would be better?
  15. Thanks, I think thats what I needed to hear because they are a huge improvement over what I had before and they do sound good im just new to this and not sure what a "good" setup is supposed to sound like.
  16. Actually that was her idea, im sure i could find someone to take them out and they keep the cabinets for their work
  17. Im kinda leaning toward just taking out the cabinets all together, getting a nice tv stand and keeping the Klipsch.
  18. Dont get me wrong I love the Klipsch im still listening to "you spent how much on speakers" its just in my situation/set up im just wondering if the Paradigm would sound better having to be in the cabinets. Trust me I dont want to listen to "why are the speakers in the middle of the living room" also. Maybe the answer would be trade in the wife
  19. I realize that Im on a Klipsch forum but with my set-up im hearing that RF 7's in the cabinet are not the best choice, I have an option to buy some Paradigm reference studio 100 v3 s that have the port on the front of coarse I would than need to sell my current set up. Has anyone had any experience with these speakers and would I regret the switch?
  20. Ya I just filled them upside down so the horns are more lined up with the center and is more ear level. Not sure if its ok or not but they sound better.
  21. Ya like I was saying in another post I have a 1 year old running around so it makes difficult to put them down. I am powering the system with a Pioneer Elite and a Emotiva 1000 watt amp. I put the sub "in" the cabinet and inverted the RF7 s so the horn is at the bottom and think it sounds better
  22. Ya RF 7 s than I have RS 7 's in the back
  23. I know it doesnt look like it but there is 6-8 inches between the rear of the speakers and the wall
  24. I never thought of that, I suppose if I can get the sub in the cabinet than I can move the towers down and be ok, I have 3 subs scattered around the room.
  25. Only problem is I have a 1 year old running around thats why I was thinking of putting the sub in the cabinet. I take a deep breath everytime she goes by it and to put the RF 7 's down would be difficult. I have RS 7's in the back that are also not placed right.
