  1. That would be a great system and it would sound awesome with movies and music. That receiver will definitely be powerful enough for the speakers. You don't need to worry about it powering the sub because that sub has its own internal amp.
  2. If those are too expensive, the WF-34 system should work just fine for you too.
  3. Good idea! Definitely look at the WF 35 system. It would fit your room nicely.
  4. I am not sure if that will work as it is for flat panel speakers but I am not sure, I have never mounted a center speaker. Mine just sits on top of my TV. As for the speaker wire, pretty much any 12 gauge speaker wire should work perfectly fine.
  5. Matching the subwoofer is not is important. You can pretty much get any brand of subwoofer and it wouldn't make a very large difference. Personally, I have a Klipsch sub-12 and I love it but you can also get away with any other brand. Also, for such a small room, you could probably easily get away with a 10 inch subwoofer instead of a 12 inch.
  6. The RF-52s will be plenty for a room that size as long as they will fit! Also, if it is possible, you should definitely try to add a center speaker to your 2.1 system for movie watching because 70+% of the vocals come out of the center. The RC-52 is what matches the RF-52s. As for the subwoofer, the RF-52s do produce bass but they won't make the walls shake when you are watching a movie. It all depends on what you like, but I would definitely recommend purchasing a subwoofer.
  7. Rickyjay, If you have a CRT(tube) television, you might have a problem. LCD or plasma, no problem. Bill I do have a tube t.v. I was planning a purchasing new speakers or a new t.v. and I am going with the speakers. Jake, Do you live in AZ too?
  8. Call the the guy(Mike) with the KLF-20's and see if he will sell you just the KLF-20's and the KLF-C7. Being that you don't need his sub, maybe he will knock a couple of hundred off the price. I talked to him earlier and he is expecting your call. By the way, some on this forum express that they think the KLF-20 is a better speaker than the KLF-30. Bill After dong some research, I found out that the KLF-20s and the KLF-c7 are NOT magnetically shielded.
  9. KLF-30s are already sold.
  10. While getting a more powerful receiver is not necessary, it would give you more headroom. Does your receiver have preouts to connect an outboard amp to? If so, and you feel you need more oomp, get an amp when funds become available. Bill It doesn't have pre-outs. I wish it did!
  11. One good thing you are doing right, getting advice. Most 15 year olds think they know it all. Keep it up. If you get either one of these speakers, you will be the envy of your peers. Bill Thanks! I already am the envy with my SF-1s, I will have people drooling with either of the other speakers! Would I need a more powerful receiver to power the KLF-20s or the KLF-30s? I only have a 80 X 5 watt yamaha.
  12. Would I need a more powerful receiver to power the KLF-20s or the KLF-30s? I only have a 80 X 5 watt yamaha.
  13. I e-mailed both of them. By the way, I am only 15 years old.
  14. Would those sound as good as a pair of RF-62s? I found a pair of RF-62s new for $600. I currently have a pair of SF-1s and a KSW-15.
  15. I guess I will wait and see if there are any good reference deals on Black Friday? -I'm on a tight budget right now...
  16. I was planning on purchasing new as I will probably be selling and getting something better in a few years when I hopefully have more money[*-)]
  17. Are you saying it would be better to get the F-3s?
  18. Bill, I am located in Chandler, AZ. I agree, overall, I like the look of the F-3s more and with my current speakers, I always have the grills off. It is a little upsetting the the grills on the VF-36s don't come off. But the sound is more important to me than the appearance. Rick
  19. Well, It wouldn't really be close to the same price because I could get a pair of VF-36s for $474 on Black Friday.
  20. Which one would be better for mostly music purposes? The VF-36 is going to be half off at best buy on black friday, but if it isn't as good as the F-3, I won't get it. Any opinions?
  21. Even though it is over $200 more? (money is hard to get for a 13 year old)
  22. Does everyone agree on this?
  23. I can get them both for the same price. Which would you recommend?
  24. Does anyone have an idea of when they may be making a new synergy line?
  25. Hello everyone, I am new to the forum, please excuse me if I don't really know what I am talking about. I was thinking about buying a full F-3 setup, but i have a few questions... I have read some reviews on this setup and most are good but some complain about the lack of mid-range sound from theses speakers. Is it really very bad? Should I consider something else? I was also looking at the RF-62 setup at first but I REALLY don't want to have to spend the extra money if I don't have to... How bad is the mid-range sound with the F-3 setup? What should I do? Thanks in advance, Ricky
