  1. Haha, I'd love to try and make one of those above. Maybe add a couple tower speakers in the back. If you can find them, the Klipsch 2.0 speakers sound awesome and have surprising bass output for such small speakers.
  2. Hello, are you talking about the little control pod with the black DIN cable? If you are, I belive that the newer ultra 5.1 control pod will work with the regular promedia 5.1. You might have better luck finding an Ultra 5.1 control pod.
  3. Hi, maybe this will help? http://www.velocityreviews.com/forums/t274271-coax-digital-to-analog-5-1-audio-converter-decoder.html
  4. Hi, it might be worth calling Klispch customer service to see if they have any control pods available.
  5. Hmm, it sounds like you already eliminated your 4.1 system as the problem and that it's probably a software issue and/or setting, but I'm not very familiar with windows 7 []
  6. Hi all, I see that you were having issues with your control pod. Volume control issues can be caused by dirty control pot. When the control gets dirty the volume control can be eratic depending on how dirty it is when trying to turn volume up or down quickly. Try and get some electronic wash/cleaner and spray at base of the control. The volume control knob just pulls out. As far as the "making noises" issue that sounds like a BASH circuit problem. No easy fix other than sending it out to get repaired.
  7. Hi Tim It sounds like there might be some bad regulator capacitors causing a "buzzing". As far as troubleshooting goes, it's hard to say what exactly is causing the problem as there are various components that can cause buzzing. I know that Sybesma's Electronics can do repairs on ProMedia. They have a website if interested in repair.
  8. Hello, I know that Sybesma's Electronics in Holland, MI does repair's on Klipsch Promedia product. Do you still get sound output from your woofer? If you have no sound from just satellites it could be a possible BASH or supply problem.
  9. MrHarris, you should be able to use an Ultra amp/sub with your regular non-Ultra control and speakers. I know for sure that the 5.1 ultra control is compatible with the non-ultra amp/sub.
