Hello everyone. Will SS.5 perform better in 5.0-no sub setup compare to S-1? SS.5 got little lower frequency response, SS.5 77-20Khz vs. S-1 95-23Khz. Will it help alot? Thanks for advice.

Hi guys. I’m not sure if I’m in right section and my question for Pioneer and Elite receiver owners mostly, but anyway: I got Pioneer VSX-819H receiver .When sours sending “Dolby digital True HD” signal to receiver, “Dolby digital” logo and “HD” supposed to appear on display. I don’t have any DVD’s with Dolby digital True HD track. All my movies are just “Dolby digital 5.1”.On display I’m getting “Dolby digital” logo-like I supposed to by manual, but instead of “HD” I got only “D”. Does it stand for Dolby digital? I’m afraid display is not functioning properly. There is nothing about it in the manual, several salesman at Best Buy were not able to help either. I searched on e-net, but was not able to find any answer. I know that Dolby digital and Dolby digital True HD are different formats, but should my receiver show “HD” or only “D” if Dolby digital 5.1 sours connected to it. Thanks for help.

Ok.Can I use one S-1 for center atleast for now?Is it going to be better? I sold RS-25 yesterday,looking to buy C-2 used.

Can you tell me please, why I shoudn't use two speakers for center? I borowed brothers C-2 for couple days,by my opinion two RS-25 for center sound better, wider,more crisp. Maybe I'm deff? I also tryed pair of S-1, I had to increse center channel level to +2, but othewise sound is good.

Hi everyone. I’m new to forum and Klipsch product too. My set up: front F-3,center pair of RS-25,Surround SS-1. I’m using it mostly as home theatre, mostly action movies, but never go over 25-30% of my receiver (Pioneer VSX-919) power. I know my system is far away from perfect set up, but it’s just beginning. I’m looking to replace RS-25 (using pair of these as center) with pair of S-1.Will I get better sound, or not? I think they not powerful enough to keep up with F-3,but because F-3 and S-1 from same line, they will match F-3 and give me better sound. Thanks for advice.
