Promedia 5.1 Ultra and THX PLEASE TAKE A LOOK!!!

an audio dealer in my town is selling a brand new set of Promedia 5.1 Ultra's for $325 (his cost, he says)...i was thinking about buying them until i came across this thread. can anyone recommend comparable speakers? or perhaps even the next step down in price? thanks!
