  1. When i had a center speaker i used 12 guage wire.
  2. I had a cerwin vega center, a klh center, and a infinity center. Well...maybe thats the problem right there? I just got my klipsch mains and will buy the rest of the set later this month. an sc.5 and ss.5. They match my SB-1 mains (which sound awsome!). Havent heard a klipsch center yet. Im sure it sounds awsome too. I Use 12 guage speaker wire from radio shack, and the optical cable connecting the dvd to the receiver is from radio shack too. Could it be the optical cable? I have never had a set of all 5 matching speakers, could that be it too? Toshiba 1309 dvd player Yamaha 595a Sb-1s for left and right 16 guage speaker wire THanks for help nate

  5. Hands down best DTS DVD is Titan A.E. Crank it loud! I get chills every time i listen to it.
  6. I have owned three receivers the past year and a half. An Aiwa something, it was just crap. an onkyo 575 which has awsome treble. Had to get rid of that because of that dammed hiss. When volume up high and only dialog from center, all i could hear from other speakers was hiisssssssssssssssss. So that went back. I then got my Yamaha. Very nice sound but it seems that the center sound can seem a little muffled at times. Like it needs some treble to brighten up the dialog. What i want to know is the klipsch center speakers have a good tweeter on them? Do they reproduce dialog clearly? I really want to know because if really irritates me on certain discs. I cant watch my tommarow never dies because they sound like ttheir talking threw a pillow. Other discs are fine. On my onkyo the center sounded brighter, which helped that disc alot! Anywany does the Klipsch center sound full and lively, and is there any way to modify my yamaha to get the treble button to work for the center sound as well? Move a wire or something? Thanks! Nathan
  7. WOW! After a year of best buy speakers i must say i never knew a speaker could sound this good. I had two sony 215's for the fronts and 115's i think for the rears. The worst part of it all is the cerwin vega center i had. Blagh! Thay must have made that mother with **** , cause thats what it sounded like. Hell, i had to put a ratshack dipole tweeter on top of it to get any treble. After i bought that i commited the worst mistake of my life, an Optimus 10" subwoofer. Dont need to say any more.... Thank god for pawn shops. Got enough money to grab my first pair of Klipsch, my SB-1's. They may not be top of the line, but there damn fine. Since i have a small room i ony need small speakers and a good sub. They perform great and have really sweet highs. They take everything i put into it, ramstein, titan ae, gladiator etc... all at very high volumes. Cant wait to get the rest of the set.!

  9. Thanks! Sorry for all the missssspellings and punctuation errors. I was very tired at the time. I will go and buy the surrounds in a few weeks, then the center. Can anyone recommend a good subwoofer? Klipsh makes awsome speakers, but the subs i heard at the dealer sounded weak... Thanks for the help!

  11. Hello, I bought a pair of SB-1 speakers the other day for my receiver. They may not be top of the line klipsh, but they sound awsome! However when i looked to buy the mathching set, SC.5, SS.5 i noticed they can only handle 50 watts rms. I would like to know if my receiver if too strong for them. I play my dvds pretty damn loud and i would hate to spend all that money on speakers that crap out. &0x5 may not sound like much, but its a damn pretty good receiver. Its actually the sam on the inside as the 595a (yamaha told me this, just a different face plate. Please help me out on this. If i need to i guess i could finish the set with an SC1 and the SS1, but im on a strict self imposed budget and would like to stay with the set. thank you very much, nathan
