  1. I agree, i thought I would be getting a system that would last me for years...sadly just after the short 2 year warranty the $400 sub is a large paper weight unless I pay an additional $60.... I am not all that upset about the $60 plus shipping but the fact that it only holds a 90 day warranty is the thing that scares me most. will I be wasting my $60 plus shipping??? I had a Yamaha 10 " sub for 1/2 the price that is over 10 years old and still sounds decent I gave to my dad when I got the Klipsch in 2006 ----should have kept the Yamaha......
  2. I have to say I spoke with Travis at Klipsch, he was very helpful, understanding, and direct with what the problem was and what the remedy was. I don't like that I have to shell out money to get a part fixed that is a know issue, and only have it replaced with an identical part that may be a known issue...but as far as Kipsch goes they were great on the phone.......i'll probably try it one time and if that doesn't last I will migrate away from klipsch for the sub at least.
  3. i too have the same issue....I have the Sub10 which I purchased in June 2006, for awhile now i notice that i was not getting much sound out of the sub but thought I had a setting issue on the receive, I finally got some time off work and was messing around with it I found that the settings were all correct and it appeared to be an issue with the sub. Placed the call into Klipsch and found the same $60 answer..... now i am faced with the question...$60 for a replacement of a known problem that will likely go out again in the near future and only carries a 90 day warranty.....it's a catch 22.... the sub was expensive on the front end but I don't want to drop $60 *plus shipping bad AMP into Klipsch* everyyear...there has got to be a better solution that this!!! what-to-do...oh what-to-do!!!!
