Glen Sinclair

I'm in the market for a center speaker to go with my Cornwall II's I know the Academy is a great match but I lothe to pay the price people are asking for this speaker, is a single Heresy equal or better than the Academy for a center ? Or should I just go with another Cornwall ? The Cornwall option seems like it might be overkill but am unsure. Thanks Glen

Well just hooked up the Chorus II's I just purchased and am very pleased !! Along the way I came across a pair of Cornwall II's which I would rate 8.5 on a scale of 10, dude said he will sell them for $500 I couldn't resist and am picking them up tomorrow. Total for both pairs $1150 [] Good score on my part ! Next will be the center and an upgrade to HT components, What's the fourms take on the 86 Cornwall's should I upgrade any of the components within the speakers or leave them as is ? I'm no audiophile but do enjoy and appreciate good sound. Thanks Glen

Chorus II in place and sound BEAUTIFULL !! I was going to start upgrading my componets as I am still running with my 20yo Hafler amp and pre amp with same year Sony ES CD and Tape deck ( tape deck I don't think I've turned it on in 10 years ) but now I've come across a pair of 1986 Cornwall II for $500 and I think I'm going to jump on them as well, don't really need them yet but can't get them out of my head and feel it is a must buy. Man I've got the itch !! Next will be the HT upgrade and based on opinions from the forum I'm leaning on a complete Emotiva upgrade ( great quality / value ratio ) Anyways Thank You for your input and any opinions about the 86 Cornwall II are apreaciated. I use to have a pair of Chorus II which I loved very much but had to sell in a move, I have a new house and am up grading my speakers, I have an opportunity to buy a pair of Chorus II or the RF-7 for the same price and would like some input to help with my decision. Thanks Glen
