  1. I've got a Marantz 2245 with Cornwall speakers. What is the best method/device used to boost antenna reception to have more stations available for listening?
  2. Sweet. I'm hoping mine will sound the same so they will be granted a reprieve.....thanks...
  3. I recently bought a set of Cornwall's (Cornwall II ?) with cane grills that were built in the 70's. I have never listened to Cornwall's, but I had an opportunity to buy them at a good price, and after doing some research, I am now getting very, very pumped up about cranking them up in my new house. They are BIG and appear in good condition. I have not hooked up a receiver to them yet because I feel I need to acquire a quality receiver to maximize the pleasure of these efficient speakers. My fiance' is getting nervous about these staying in the living room where they are now and suggesting the garage...ouch. So I am now in a position to purchase a Marantz 2250B to go with the speakers and get the quality sound that will grant my Cornwall's squatter's rights for good in the living room. Because of my inexperience, my question is....is the Marantz 2250B a ggod match for these speakers? Any good or bad points plus any advice on additional hardware would be greatly appreciated. Thanks......
  4. I have chance to purchase a Marantz 2250B to go with my new Cornwall speakers (70's model). Would this be an acceptable match? Does this model have enough amps for these speakers, or should I wait it out and possibly get a 2270 or a pioneer 828?
  5. I don't have a receiver yet. I was going to try and get one today. Any suggestions? What to stay away from? 10 guage wire? Thanks for your input...!
  6. Thanks for the info...I will try and get some pic's posted tomorrow morning so you might be able to give me some more information.
  7. I just bought a pair of very large (38"x28"x16") and heavy Cornwall floor mount speakers for $200 and wondering what exactly I have? On the back is a label that is signed by the inspector, etc. and states...Cornwall....Type CWR-15...serial #36732. The front (screen?) seems to be made of some kind of burlap or bamboo material? Does anyone have any information on these speakers so I can properly combine the necessary equipment to them for the best possible quality? The person I bought them from said he went to the factory in Ark., took a tour then bought these...Any information is greatly appreciated.
