  1. wuzzer thanks for the help that solved the problem for me. I was not running the Dish Network Box through the receiver. Thanks!
  2. Hi everyone I just bought a Onkyo TX-SR607 receiver and some Klipsch F3 and C2 speakers based on the recommendations from this forum. I have been frustrated for two days now as I cannot seem to get my receiver to recognize my TV thus am unable to send sound to my speakers. I connected my TV and receiver via an HDMI cable. I have ran through all the HDMI input options on my receiver and nothing plays out of the speakers. I have an HD Dish Network Receiver should I be connecting my AV receiver through that with an HDMI cable going from the Dish Network receiver to my AV receiver and a second HDMI cable going from my AV receiver to my TV? Now I know the speakers are hooked up correctly because I was able to test it with my ipod. I am kind of at a lose now at what to do, I am tempted to hire someone to figure it out for me but I feel it should be an easy fix that I am just missing something. Any advice would appreciated.
  3. Hi guys I really appreciate the feedback. My head is starting to spin looking at all the receiver choices. I believe I have narrowed down my choices to two. I read some good reviews from the link Jason str sent out which was the Marantz Sr4002 I am also looking at the Onkyo Tx-sr607. Both of these units are the same price $300. 1. Marantz Sr4002: I read some reviews stating there was a problem with this unit making popping sounds! Has anyone else heard this complaint? I am also concerned that there are only 3 HDMI inputs. 2. Onkyo Tx-sr607: This unit also has some good reviews and has 5 HDMI inputs. I heard the video upconversion is not very good but I am not really even sure what that means lol and poor analog conversion. http://www.accessories4less.com/make-a-store/item/ONKTXSR607BLK/Onkyo/TX-SR607-7.2-Channel-Home-Theater-Receiver/1.html Since I have received so much good feedback from this form I was hoping I could get your opinion on which of these I should choose. Thanks!
  4. I just bought some Klipsch C-2 center channel and F-3 floor standing speakers and I am unsure what wattage I need out of my receiver. I would appreciate any recommendations on specific receivers as well. I am trying to balance getting something that will optimally utilize these speakers with staying on a budget. I can probably go up to $500 but something around $300-$400 would be ideal. Thanks!
  5. I appreciate the feed back and the welcome to the community. My research tells me I do not need the most powerful receiver for this system and a 100 watt system work fine. What is your recommendations receiver wise?
  6. So I have been looking at getting a new home theater for awhile. I have Klipsch computer speakers and they are great. I came across this deal at my local electronics store. My question to you guys is this, one should I be worried about demo models? Everything is still under warranty and I know since they are the display model I can probably get a good deal. What do you think a fair price would be for me to get this whole system? Since they are the demo model do you think getting this package for around $1000 would be resonable? My main question what percentage off should I expect being that everything is a demo model. I appreciate the input! 2 Klipsch RF 35 Tower speakers (cherry) cost: 499/ea -- sale price: $275 x 2 = $550 2 Klipsch RB51 bookshelf/surround speakers (black) cost: $348/pr -- sale price: $220 1 Klipsch RC62 Center Speaker(black) Cost: $449 -- Sale Price; $275 1 Klipsch RW10 Sub Woofer (black) Cost: $ 499 -- Sale Price $275 total cost: $2350 --- total sale price: $1320
