  1. Hi All I Have A Pair Of 1985 KG4's That Im Updating And Need Help Please. They Say On The Crossovers There 4 ohms How Can I Make Them 8 ohms. I Will Be Adding New Woofers That Are 8 ohms Each I See That If I Wire Them In Parallel The Out put Is 4 ohms, If I Wire Them In Series The Out put Is 16 ohms.

  4. Thanks Moray For The Info. I Have A Set Of KG4 I Can Check Out The damping underneath them They Use The Same Diaph's. As The Quartets To See How Much And Size I Need. What I Did Not Like About The Ti Diaph's. They Seem Harshhhh To My Ears.
  5. Need Help Im Putting New Replacment Twetter Poly Diaphragms Back In My Quartets I Did Put In New Titam. Diaph's. But Do Not Like The Sound. My Q. Is The Old Diaphragms Had A Damping Mat'l. Inside Them I Tost It Trash. Two Yr. Back. Do I Need That For My New Poly Diaphragms. If I Do What should I Use ??? Thanks For Anyyyy Help On This.

  9. I do not have the space for a pair of Cornwalls. I was talking with a klipsch tech and a said i mite put a 12" woofer out the back and that's with the 10" woofer in frount all so he said thats some thing to think about they never tride that. he said wire them so that when one is pushing the other is pulling. If i do that it may work out, They want me to email them and let then know what happens. P.S. Sorry for the spelling my spell checker is at work

  12. Thank For The Info Bill & Nice Set Up's You Have. I Know I Would Be Cutting A Larger Hole Thats No Big Thing To Me Just Looking To Try Something Dif. My Denon Dose A Great Job. It Has 130 amp Pre Channel For A Multichannel amp. I Just Need Some More Info On KLIPSCH K 22 HERESY 12" If They Would Work OK With My Quartet Crossovers. I Have Quartet Speakers That I Would Like To Change Out The 10" Woofers And Replace With Klipsch K-22 EF 12" woofers To See If It Would Sound Better With Low End Bass And That Would In The Front And Leaving The 12 Passofffs In Back As Is. The Quartets Are 8 ohms & 100 Watt, What Do I Need To Wereee About . Sorry For Bad Spelling My Spell Checker Is A Sleep. Thanks For Any Info Cheers Tim From Mi.
  14. Hope you'r all having a good weekend So about the quartet wall spacing, I have them tode in the space behind them is like a trangle starts 1/2 from wall to 6" from wall I hope that will work. P.S. I Removed the bottom risers from the quartets because of them setting up on the fire place hearth which is raisded up off the floor About a 1'ft.I hope this dose not change the sound I put rubber pads on them.   17. Thanks for the info but I can't. move them out from the wall because there setting on top of the fire place hearth which is raised up off floor. that's why I was going to take the pass's out.
  18. I thougth that you had to keep the speakers away from a wall about a 1' min., that the sound pressure from the passive radiator mite cause distorted bass sound. with that said I have denon avr-3311ci amp
  19. Quartet better sound need help, i have to keep my quartets by a brick fire place wall about 21/2 in. away. I was thinking of removing the passive radiator to see how the bass would sound ?? P.S. Thanks for any help you can give me Tim from mi.

  21. It was at 8 ohms i did not ever get the bass right it sounded harsh,lacking in bass and to bright. My new denon avr-3311ci will be here this week. [] .p.s. i had a new yamaha RXA-1000 but i returned it.
