  1. Yes the sharp is on my radar. What I am considering is the 70 inch 240 hz sharp quattron vs the Mitsubishi WD 92840. Both are about the same price. $3500 ish. The big issue I think is that I'm not familiar with dlp's and am hesitant cause they are less popular than lcd's. I was looking at the 70 inch 120hz sharp but read alot of bad reviews about fast moving movies and sports. The 65 inch LCD I have in the bedroom has blurring during football ( just the ball ) and I don't like it.

  2. Hiding the wires is easy. Remove lower moulding. Make 2 holes, 1 behind the moulding and 1 behind the tv. Use wire snake to pull wires behind wall. Run your speaker wires along base of wall. Reinstall moulding on top of wire to cover hole and hide wire.

  3. My grills have never been out of the plastic bag they came in. The speakers look great naked.

...right up until you, or your wife, or your kids, or your cats dent the woofers. I bet naked wouldn't have seemed like such a good idea then.

Sounds like a person that needs to get control of their wife or kids or cats.

  4. I am getting ready to pull the trigger on a pair of the 7's. I like the look the of the grills on my 82II's and wondered if they make a similiar grill for the 7II?

They don't. I personally dislike the grill as well. I never even put mine on from day 1.

  5. That's a beautiful sub btw Bill! And thanks for the heads up on the aging cherry finish, I had no idea that the cherry finish gets dark like that over time.

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for your finish to darken. I have a set of rb15's that are as light as ever.
  6. Jason, how do you like the RB-51's for your surrounds?

I love them. The only true surrounds I have actually heard is the rs-3 though so not much to compare them to. I had some room challenges so I chose to go with rb's. Very happy

  7. Ugh.... I'm not a fan of putting tv's on the speaker. I thought u planned on wall mounting it? I'm too paranoid that my speaker will get damaged.

This is temporary till I have some time this weekend to wall mount my tv.
