I was looking for a powered sub for the livingroom to go with the bookshelf speakers( Polk Audio RT5 120 watts paid 50.00 ) purchased for my wife to listen to music. I was looking on craigslist when I came across a SVS20-39 PCI for 225.00 mint condition . Now I know thats too big for the livingroom and bookshelf speakers. The question.... Is the svs sub better than my klipsch RW12 -D . If so I can then use the RW12-D in the livingroom . And SVS in the theater room. Thanks for any input !

So my wife decided that she would like speakers for the living room . For mostly listening to music . She does not want them to be big and bulky but with good sound and some bass . Any ideas ?

When the audio cut off occurs the display on the receiver stays the same.( DTS MA) . I have a 3FT HDMI cable. The firmware is also updated . I was told by PS3 tech support to uncheck Dolby digital plus at the audio settings of the ps3 and also defrag the ps3 harddrive. I did that and now I need to go back to blockbuster and rent anoher disney movie and see if it works.Had to return late fees !

I am using a ps3 for my bluray player and what I have noticed in the past week is this. I played 2 dts ma 7.1 disney bluray movies tron legacy and narnia prince caspian. and noticed 1 to 2 second audio cut off at different times through out the movie. When I play it in any other format it plays fine. Now when I play any other movie that is not a disney bluray in dts ma 7.1. For example a liongate movie, warzone punisher also in dts ma 7.1 format it plays fine, the 1 to 2 second audio cut off does not occur. I'm confused .Any ideas on what this could be.

I have a poineer vsx94txh that needs repair I believe the cost will be close to 400.00 one of the processors needs replacing . Ok so my question is will a repaired pioneer vsx94txh at 400.00 repaired be a better receiver than a new onkyo tx 808 . for 698.00.

Anyone know how to install firmware onto a pioneer elite vsx 94 txh receiver . I was told that the problem I'm having will be fixed with the new firmware update. The reason I ask is that I would have to take it to authorized pioneer dealer . And even though the firmware add on is free they still want to charge 50.00 to analyze receiver.

Anyone have a pioneer elite product ? I am having a issue with my vsx 94 txh .... I think ! When I play any movie that plays in DTS MA 7.1 format the audio clips on and off at different times of the movie. When I change the format to any other format for example DTS or dolby pro , neo cinema 6 and so on the audio clipping does not occur.I keep the master volume the same for all the formats. Has anyone come across this type of problem? Please help .

Ok I played several other bluray movies that play in DTS MA 7.1 an got the same 1 sec audio cutoff it actually had a bit longer cutoff. Where do I go from here ? Could I possibly have a problem with the receiver?

Ok so I rented tron legacy in bluray from blockbuster on tuesday went home saw that the audio was made in master audio hd 7.1....cool ! So I made a few changes in my system to allow for MA HD 7.1 started to watch the movie sounded great all of a sudden I hear a 1second audio cut off and then played fine ,this happened through out the complete movie .Hymmm I said lets play it again but in dolby pro II movie played fine .So what I did I paused the movie switched back to MA HD 7.1and again the 1 second audio cut off .Switched back to other decodes and played fine only when playing in MA HD 7.1 would I get the 1 second audio cutoff. Anybody come across this problem with this movie, or any other bluray movie being played in MA HD 7.1 ?

I have someone in my town selling a B&K reference 7250 II 5 channel 200watss per channel. He will sell to me for 600.00 dropped from 700.00 .The question I have is this , he says that one of the channels at start up pops and then plays fine and at shut down it pops . Has anyone come across this problem, if so what was the solution. Is this something I should be worried about ? Is 600.00 a good price even if one channel needs work. I am only going to use it for my center rc64 and L/R rf 82.

Someone mentioned a few posts back , bridge my center channel from my pioneer elite to the rotel rb980bx with a y splitter. Is that possible or not. Would it even work?

would a rotel rb980 bx a 2 channel amp at 120 per channel be enough power to push a rc 64, if I only use it as a mono amp for just the center channel ?And would it complament a B&K reference 200.2 amp pushing L/R rf 82.

I am looking for a plasma TV for my HT . For the size I want which is 60" I found a LG 60" PZ550 plasma/3D just came out this year . I found it at a local store for 1700.00 . Panasonic has a vt series 58" plasma/3D for close to 3000.00 way out of my budget. What is the your guys/gal opnion on the LG brand if any. thank you for any input.

I would like to know if its ok to mix and match external amps . I have a B&K reference 200.2 (200watts each channel x2)which I m using for my L/R RF 82 . I would like to know if I add a Emotiva upa 1 monoblock (1channel 200 watts) for my center channel RC 64 if this would be a bad idea.
