I have recently acquired a pair of RVX-54's for my main front speakers to replace a bigger pair of Altecs I sold (regrettably) due to moving to a smaller place.
My Klipsch RVX-54 speakers are detailed and fine for movies (will probably make great surround speakers), but for music they lack the punch and dynamics of my old Altec Model 14's (no surprise.) My question is would the Klipsch RF-62's be a big enough step up from my 54's or would it be necessary to step up to some Klipsch RF-35's/RF-82's to get back the punch and dynamics my old Altec Model 14's had? I'm driving my speakers with a Pioneer Elite VSX-56txi receiver. Thank you.
