  1. I have a pair of Klipsch Quartets that I upgraded to titanium mids and highs. Big difference over the stock phenolic. Now I am considering new Crites crossovers with Sonicaps. The other option is much costlier. New Dean G or ALK networks. I mostly listen at moderate volume levels and rarely reference levels. Considering the titanium mids and highs were very reasonable priced and new Crites crossovers can be had for a fair price I'm thinking of going that route and calling it a day. Just wondering if any one else has upgraded their heritage speakers with the Dean G crossovers and if there is a night and day difference between them and the Crites networks. I know there is a huge price difference. Considering I'm not Rockefeller I want to get them sounding as good as possible without spending an arm or a leg.
  2. Yea maybe I could drain our savings account and replace my wife with the C-4's!!! Yikes.. They are damn near perfect aren't they.
  3. Funny I have had the same thoughts today Jason. I was thinking of either a good used Heresy 1 or 2 as I can't really go for a new 3 right now. A Quartet or Forte offers a bigger cabinet design and maybe a bigger soundstage and more bass than the Heresy. It seems there is no way I can get away from a bigger cabinet to achieve the bigger sound. The Heresy or Quartet would seem to be a fairly close match to my KLF-C-7 center channel as well. I'm thing about either the Heresy or Quartet now..
  4. I have recently acquired a pair of RVX-54's for my main front speakers to replace a bigger pair of Altecs I sold (regrettably) due to moving to a smaller place. My Klipsch RVX-54 speakers are detailed and fine for movies (will probably make great surround speakers), but for music they lack the punch and dynamics of my old Altec Model 14's (no surprise.) My question is would the Klipsch RF-62's be a big enough step up from my 54's or would it be necessary to step up to some Klipsch RF-35's/RF-82's to get back the punch and dynamics my old Altec Model 14's had? I'm driving my speakers with a Pioneer Elite VSX-56txi receiver. Thank you.
