  1. The VSX-920-K is a great receiver. I have had no problems with it so far. Got it with the blue tooth adapter for $300 on ebay.
  2. That's what I was afraid of. I will wait until I get that amp to hook it up again. []
  3. It is a dual 4 ohm so it can be wired to 2 ohms in parallel and 8 ohms series And I currently have it wired to 2 ohms.
  4. So just as a little update, I connected my sub directly to center channel on my receiver to see what would happen and I like the results! Music sounds very good and I watched a few parts of Transformers 2 and that sounded good. I'm wondering if there is anything wrong with this method?
  5. Well my receiver has only a sub pre out meaning I could connect a RCA there and then the XLR to the amp. But I would only be using one channel correct? How much power would I be getting from only one channel? And thanks in advance for all the help!
  6. I guess my last question to test your knowledge [H] is how do I connect the Behringer to my receiver? I wouldn't want to go buy it and then not even be able to use it.
  7. Definitely. I was unaware of these "clip lights"
  8. So if im understanding this correctly, then if I connect the 2 voice coils to the 2 channels on the back of that amp I will be getting 950W RMS with the gain approx half way turned up?
  9. So is all that power really necessary?
  10. Using an amp like that I would be pushing 950 watts RMS at 4 ohms. I didn't think I needed that much power.
  11. well... here it is http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_21918_Kicker+CVX154+-10CVX154-.html
  12. Here is the link to my exact sub I guess the question is: Should I just get a Klipsch sub like I had planned or save a lot of money and try to make this one work?
  13. I figured I would need a plate amp. Yes, it is sealed and it's a 4 ohm sub. I was thinking maybe > http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=300-805 or > http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=300-750
  14. How would I go about hooking it up since it doesn't have a line level input?
  15. Yes, I have seen all of that already. I'm still going to try it the way I have set up. I'm sure I will be able to notice if something doesn't sound right. I could move them a little bit closer to what it should be if needed. I'm just now getting into home theater and wanted to experiment a little bit.
