  1. I take a little bit of offense. I am active duty military and I work part time at "Best Buy" Yea i know its not the best stuff but never fear if people come in and want high quality i send them to Magnolia HIFI where they sell Klipsch. By the way Best Buy owns Magnolia HiFi. So there is an employee at Best Buy that represents Klipsch. The Legend continues. ------------------ Panasonic CT-36HD40 HDTV SONY DVP-S530SE DVD SONY CD-210 CD SONY VHS PLAYER YAMAHA RX-V1000 MONSTER REFERENCE INTERCONNECTS MONSTER CABLE Z2 BIWIRE RF-3 BIWIRED RC-3 RS-3 KSW-12
  2. I would have to suggeest the Yamaha. I currently own the RX-V1000 and love it. For the record I think that when people say that Yamaha is "too bright" that is only so with the cheaper models. The higher end models are just right to me anyway. The Yamaha RX-V3000 does have both DD 6.1 and DTS ES and it also adds two front effects channels if you are interested. I also prefer the Yamaha because it is more streamlined and elegant looking than the Denons. But this is all just my opinion and either model is a great choice. ------------------ Panasonic CT-36HD40 HDTV SONY DVP-S530SE DVD SONY CD-210 CD SONY VHS PLAYER YAMAHA RX-V1000 MONSTER REFERENCE INTERCONNECTS MONSTER CABLE Z2 BIWIRE RF-3 BIWIRED RC-3 RS-3 KSW-12
  3. I take it that it had GREAT reviews. Tell me more im in the market for a DVD audio player. ------------------ Panasonic CT-36HD40 HDTV SONY DVP-S530SE DVD SONY CD-210 CD SONY VHS PLAYER YAMAHA RX-V1000 MONSTER REFERENCE INTERCONNECTS MONSTER CABLE Z2 BIWIRE RF-3 BIWIRED RC-3 RS-3 KSW-12
  4. I would agree that is why I use Yamaha. But One thing good about pioneer. They do tend to get in the market earlier than most companies ie: dvd burners ect... Im not saying there good or anything thoug. At one time Pioneer was a reputable company before the times of Onkyo and other reputable brands. ------------------ Panasonic CT-36HD40 HDTV SONY DVP-S530SE DVD SONY CD-210 CD SONY VHS PLAYER YAMAHA RX-V1000 MONSTER REFERENCE INTERCONNECTS MONSTER CABLE Z2 BIWIRE RF-3 BIWIRED RC-3 RS-3 KSW-12
  5. In my looking back at old post on this BB. I noticed a post that asked the age old question of Yamaha or Denon. Then someone replied wheres Pioneer? That is a good question. Pioneer has been around for a really long time and they should be pretty good recievers but I think Klipsch fans all buy the same stuff lol (yammie or dennon). Oh well i just thought that would make for some good conversations again. Enjoy Yamaha rules (LOL). ------------------ Panasonic CT-36HD40 HDTV SONY DVP-S530SE DVD SONY CD-210 CD SONY VHS PLAYER YAMAHA RX-V1000 MONSTER REFERENCE INTERCONNECTS MONSTER CABLE Z2 BIWIRE RF-3 BIWIRED RC-3 RS-3 KSW-12
  6. No the RC-3 is not wall mountable, Howerever; you can put it on a shelf just keep in mind the center speaker is supposed to be as close to the tv as possible to keep the imaging on the tv. If it is to high above the tv it will sound like the movie is playing in the attic or something like that. But no question is dumb. ------------------ Panasonic CT-36HD40 HDTV SONY DVP-S530SE DVD SONY CD-210 CD SONY VHS PLAYER YAMAHA RX-V1000 MONSTER REFERENCE INTERCONNECTS MONSTER CABLE Z2 BIWIRE RF-3 BIWIRED RC-3 RS-3 KSW-12
  7. I was wondering. Currently I have a RC-3 and RS-3's with RF-3's. The question I have is would it make a difference if I switched these to the RC-7 and RS-7's. Due to the fact they both match the RF-3's in sensitivity. Would this make a more streamline sound. Not that the others would go to waste because I can use the RC-3 for the rear center. Also if i buy a three channel amp could i use the RS-3 along with the RC-3 for the entire rear center soundstage. Any response would be appreciated. ------------------ Panasonic CT-36HD40 HDTV SONY DVP-S530SE DVD SONY CD-210 CD SONY VHS PLAYER YAMAHA RX-V1000 MONSTER REFERENCE INTERCONNECTS MONSTER CABLE Z2 BIWIRE RF-3 BIWIRED RC-3 RS-3 KSW-12 This message has been edited by iluvhifi on 08-09-2001 at 09:53 PM
  8. I would agree. My RX-V1000 sounds great with my RF-3's. Not to long ago I replaced my Denon AVR 3801 for the yammie based on listening to my freinds system using his RF-3's and to the sound that came out of his just sounded more "live" to me and that is what I realy liked. Dont get me wrong the Denon sounded great to but it was just a little to warm. ------------------ Panasonic CT-36HD40 HDTV SONY DVP-S530SE DVD SONY CD-210 CD SONY VHS PLAYER YAMAHA RX-V1000 MONSTER REFERENCE INTERCONNECTS MONSTER CABLE Z2 BIWIRE RF-3 BIWIRED RC-3 RS-3 KSW-12
  9. Anubis, It seems to me that the question you asked is misleading. You can biwire the amp all day and it wont make a bit of difference because the actual biwire comes when you remove the connecting bridges on the speaker itself. Unless you are talking about two seperate runs of cable all together. But IMHO i would recommend the monster cable Z2 biwire cable (200.00) per pair and 100.00 for a single(after all you spent over 2000.00 already. This option allows for a much prettier run of cable and both ends can be banana pluged or spaded or pinned all you choice because they use a universal connector system. hope this helps. ------------------ Panasonic CT-36HD40 HDTV SONY DVP-S530SE DVD SONY CD-210 CD SONY VHS PLAYER YAMAHA RX-V1000 MONSTER REFERENCE INTERCONNECTS MONSTER CABLE Z2 BIWIRE RF-3 BIWIRED RC-3 RS-3 KSW-12
  10. kain64 Instead of the Yamaha RX-V3000 another option is the RX-V1000. I would prefer this over the other simply because of the 500.00 price difference. The other reason is for 500 all your getting extra is 10 watts per channel extra, a few more sound fields, a powered rear center (for dolby 6.1 and DTS ES) which the 1000 has but it is a preout. So the question you have to ask yourself is do you want 6.1 if so then the 3000 is for you other than that they are pretty much the same reciever. This Yamaha/Klipsch combination rocks and doesnt sound to "bright" peace
