  1. HI, What happened? I never heard back from you on this. Please reply. Thanks very much.
  2. Dear Mr. Cannon, I had replied a while ago through regular email to you but did not receive a reply. "Make sure the shematic is the right version?" I do not even have a schematic. This circuit is back in production? I have not seen any replacement boards with anywhere close to the same circuitry. What is Klipsch afraid of that their giving away and providing good customer support with schematics is going to jeardize their intellectual property or the public is going to reproduce and sell this? Come on. To send the boards to your one and only service center costs more than buying a new one outright, which I did do four years ago and now this new replacement has intermittant problems. I appreciate your your reply, but I would appreciate some customer support, even if I need to sign a waiver saying I will never reproduce or use your IP. Thanks once again.
  3. My email is kdpedersen626@gmail.com. Thanks very much -Dave
  4. Hello, I am brand new to this forum and have a KSW10. I noticed your reply to this gentlman a while ago. I agree with you on the constantly "on" power supply that senses audio input. I have two types of designs, the 118587 that I figure you are talking about here. There are two transistors that are TIP 31C and TIP 32C to supply the +/- 15 or 16VDC to the circuittry. That is where I see discoloration of the board beneath these two. Two zener diodes are there to regulate the voltage. In the older design which I am trying to fix after it got zapped by lightning (118580), it has a similar power supply design but a whole new output design. My question outstanding on the forum is to find schematics for the old design, and for the new design. Klipsch, as much as I love their product, their heritage, and my Chorus II units as well, has not a clue. I cannot even talk to someone in their technical department since they only go as far as the superficial stuff. "Send it to Sybesmas repair," which I believe they will fix it by replacing the board or power trasformer. I did get the old amp circuit to operate except the output is distorted after I replaced the output devices, regulators, and even the shorted Zener (Z1) with what I believe is a 16V. Sorry to ramble, but in summary, if you have any knowledge on schematics, that would be helpful. Also, the reason I went to fix the old design is that now the new design after three or four years is acting up. I have to unplug the AC when it wont detect or turn on, then plugging it in turns it on. There may be a latch up condition or an intermittant (suspect op amp) component. Thanks again - -Dave
  5. Need schematic or guidance with KSW 10 subwoofer amp (vintage 2000) with a 118580 amplifier model. Replaced components but tired of shotgunning without schematic. Does anyone have a schematic or similar sub that possibly has same design? Klipsch unwilling to help, "send it in" and I am sure they will just replace the board. Thanks to all who read this.
