  1. What would be so wrong with letting us preorder these speakers. At least that way we wouldn't have to spend our day waiting around the forum for an announcement. Evan
  2. Actually, that's incorrect. THe digital out works for all games big and small, dolby or not. It does stereo over the opticalcable as well. You do need the audio tornado to hook up an optical cable. OR you could run the optical cable into your livedrive IR and you'd get the same effect, but you'd need your tv/ps2 by the computer which may or may not be you bag, baby Evan
  3. I love my sblive platinum 5.1, but i am just as impressed by the game theatre xp. Personally i chose creative just because they have a good track record with me. THe game theatre is a little bit less expensive and some may argue that the breakout is better, but i still think the sblive is the choice. It's really just a personal pref. Evan
  4. U.S. customs's suck. I travel to canada a lot, when going in they're like "Are you doing anything illegal" but when i come back they get out the drug dogs and anal cavity searchers. How long does it normally take for shipments to get through customs? When did the speakers hit our shores? Evan
  5. Speakers are just speakers. They move air. the speaker is not what would be dolby compatable. WHat you need is some sort of reciever/decoder to process a digital signal which i'm almost cerain the sblive 5.1 does. In your setup i'd say go with the klipsch because they sound so good and have much more power. Evan Someone correct me if i'm wrong on this please.
  6. I apologize for the way i'm acting. It's not really fair, i don't mean to attack amy or klipsch or anyone for that matter. I'm just anxious to get some speakers and i just hate waiting. Amy, that quote is from the origiona; press release that is found in your news section. Evan
  7. Porno pete, no i wouldn't like a half assed product. I would like them/everybody to be more reasonable with release dates. When do you ever see something come out early? Never, i just want my speakers and i'm sick of waiting and being disappointed when i read about them getting released late. Evan
  8. I understand the customs are beyond your control, but you did know that it would be part of the process and thus should have been accounted for. As for my release dates i refer you to teh press release. If you don't feel like reading, here's a quote: Reasonably priced ($399.99 U.S. MSRP) the ProMedia 5.1 will be available for purchase at specialty audio stores, and on the klipsch.com web site in mid to late June 2001. Mid to late June. That is what we've been expecting since May. Evan
  9. Why is it that no one in any industry that has anything to do with computers can just be straight up. First these speakers were mid to late June. Then July 1, and now we've pushed the date to the 15th; which again is a lie because it is now the 16th adn we don't have speakers yet. I'd rather they tell me they won't be arround until Christmas and then surprise me by having them done early. Waiting like this is garbage, unacceptable business practice if you ask me. Great speakers, bad p/r. Evan
