Anyone, please? I really need to decide if the DVP-S9000ES is worth the $1165 difference if I do not have a HDTV. The sound quality the same of the two DVD players when watching a DVD and listening to a normal audio CD?

But do you know why it was discontinued? Now, in Dubai, the best Sony DVD player is the DVP-S9000ES. The one below that (second best) is the Sony DVP-S735D. The DVP-S9000ES costs around $1600, but the DVP-S735D costs around $435! BIG DIFFERENCE! Before, the DVP-S7700 used to be in the middle of those two.

I know that unless the DVP-S9000ES is hooked up to a HDTV, the picture quality of the DVP-S9000ES and DVP-S735D is the same. But what about sound quality? Is the sound quality also the same while watching a DVD and listening to a normal audio CD?

Well? I don't see on the Sony site anymore, plus they are out of stock of that model here in Dubai. What's up??

Well? I am not sure which to get. But I like the cherry color, but the thing is that the RS-7s only come in black or white and so they won't match unless I get the whole set in black. BTW, which color do you guys think looks the best on the RF-7s? Black, Cherry, or Maple? I was not sure if I should get the Rx-3s or the Rx-7s, but I have finally picked the Rx-7s! WEE! I should have my brand new Home Theater within a month. I will be getting the Rx-3s or the Rx-7s soon. I want to get the RSW-12 or RSW-15 subwoofer. But since it will take time for it to arrive here in Dubai, will the Home Theater sound okay without a subwoofer for awhile? Will I be able to feel any bass from the RF-3s or RF-7s?

I can get the RF-3s, RC-3, and RS-3s for about $1600 with no subwoofer. But the RF-7s, RC-7, and RS-7s are about $3800 with no subwoofer. Are the Rx-7s really worth the $2200 difference? My Home Theater room is small: Length: about 17 feet. Width: about 10 feet.

Thanks again. But, should I place the surrounds in the same "line" as my couch? How high should they be?
