  2. Sorry guys I guess I wasn't real clear on what actually happened, the thread on the driver is still in tact, neck of the cone is the part that actually snapped right off. Here are some links to the photos, since i couldn't figure out how to post them on here. <a href="http://s1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa424/johnstms83092/?action=view&current=Photo_1D13A70A-BDD4-F04B-4761-9C097E0D3FEA.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa424/johnstms83092/Photo_1D13A70A-BDD4-F04B-4761-9C097E0D3FEA.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa424/johnstms83092/?action=view&current=WP_000024.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa424/johnstms83092/WP_000024.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa424/johnstms83092/?action=view&current=WP_000027.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa424/johnstms83092/WP_000027.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
  3. Hey guys, So here's the deal, I own a pair of KLF-30's and recently rearranged my living room and the 2 guys I had helping me moved one of my KLF's and when they set it down we heard a thud in the speaker... as I grew frantic about what i just heard from inside the cabinet I set it down and opened up to see inside, and to my dismay, the driver broke off of the midrange cone.. The weight of the driver just gave way to the plastic and snapped clear off. For a better visual, the cone still appears unharmed from outside looking at it, but the driver itself on the inside just fell clean off the back of the cone.. so I have two pieces.. So my question is.. Is there a way I can fix this myself using a specialty glue that is strong enough to support the weight of the driver? Or am i basically screwed and in need of tracking down and purchasing a new driver..? the midrange is a K-52 1.5" (3.81cm) Polymer diaphragm compression driver with a 90(o)x60(o) Tractrix® Horn. I'd appreciate any input, has this happened to anyone else out there?! How'd you deal with the situation? Marty - KLF-30's -- Cornwall ll's --- Quartet's
  4. Hi everyone, I have just recently purchased 2 K-35-K 15" woofer from a guy for only 20 bucks a woofer, (I find this a pretty nice deal [] ) but it did not come with any cabinets or crossovers.. I plan on building two subs using the two woofers but I need some help.. I was wondering if anyone is either selling their SW-15 cabinets or if anyone knows how to build a nice cabinet that will work well with a K-35-K woofer. I know that the SW-15 powered subwoofer uses these woofers but they also use a 15" passive woofer on the back..Also would the SW-15 crossover work with these without the passive woofer working with it also? any idea's how i could put together a nice little sub here with these? I'd appreciate it! Thanks much, Marty
