  1. Thanks for all the info , glad to hear I made a good choice with the anthem. I checked the link you put, cant believe there selling it for 2500$ I got mine for 1600$ Wow talk about inflation .

So guess my choice is made and I will go with the rs-62ii. Thanks guys.

  2. I was a party warrior once. It culminated in me taking out both driver side tires and driving on rims until the lips were ground flat. That resulted in me ending up on a grassy embankment in a residential neighborhood and blacking out. I was abruptly waken by half a dozen police officers, failed field sobriety, and blew .204 at county.

First offense, a promise to never return, and a compassionate district attorney meant that I learned an expensive lesson and changed my habits. There's just too much at risk these days, and I surely don't bounce back like I did a decade ago.

Man would I love to party with you !!!!

  3. larbo i also noticed in your signature that you have a 10 foot and a 12 foot sub? how do those compare to regular baby subs? id like to see them HUGE things in action. perhaps a quick youtube video of them in action? ;)

LMAO!!! I must of been drunk ! I fixed it . lol Good eye.

  4. mca-30 is 225x3 and xpa-3 is 200x3? or am i reading wrong?

    According to Anthem's website, the MCA 30 is 225 x 1 and 180 x 3.

Well now you got me thinking ,cant remember the wattage on the mca. Had it for about 5-6 years now. I would have to check. So if the Emotiva is 200w you don't think I would notice a big difference in sound if the mca is really 180w ? God you guys move to fast for me me lol.

  5. Been coming to this site for years, even before I got my rf 7ii, and I have always found it to be very helpful and informative . The group of guys here are great and have a great sense of humor and ive never felt as if im being talked down to or judge . I think what Youthman and Dean give to the site is very informative to all. Dean runs a business don't expect him to give away all his secrets. Which I and many others are willing to pay.

  6. LOL I always talk to my wife, nothing comes into this house without her knowing. Its only fair.

Really ?? anyone else have the same thought? Another anthem mca 30 will cost me 1600$ easy.(without tax) That's why im on the fence with this choice, if I get the Emotiva it's through the internet and if something goes wrong im @#!@# , cause I have to pay the shipping again. And wait even longer.

But I kinda agree with the surrounds. But then again get more power into my front 3...

  7. Congrats ,Ive had 2 rescue dogs. And both were amazing, I think that's the best thing anyone can do is to take in rescued animals GOOD JOB !!

  8. LOL !! New question should I get Rs-62ii or Emotiva 3. I already have a power amp for my front three channels.(Anthem MCA 30) Was thinking of changing it out with the Emotiva, and using it for the rear speakers. Or should I change my surround speakers first ? Either way I will get both , but not right away. DONT tell my wife !! :( I guess my question is which one first ??

    Thanks guy's and cheers. :emotion-22::emotion-22::emotion-22: ....

  9. I have a question , I understand that the up grade will in prove on sound, But to what point ? Highs more high lows more low ? And if you upgrade your Rf-7ii do you have to upgrade your RC-64 ? And surrounds ? How much would this upgrade cost? For me to have this upgrade done would mean weeks for my system down , being im in Canada. Would it be worth it ?

  10. You should do it, easy to do and I found it made a huge difference. I was really surprised

Remember, my HT is in a family room, so WAF is very important. Though she has allowed 5 subwoofers in there. I'll start with drapes on the windows behind my RF-63's.

    Bill

There not ugly, and your wife can choose any material she likes. You can even do poster prints or whatever you both like.

  11. My HT bottleneck is the fact that I don't have a dedicated HT room. Otherwise, my family room HT sounds awesome. I could use some acoustic treatments though.

  12. Congrats , amazing speakers. I have mine at xo 50 (large). Played boom boom pow (black eyed peas ) at +10 with nooo problem. MY mca 30 is 140w per channel if I recall correct. Maybe it bottom out cause there not broken in yet?
