Sold
in Garage Sale
Arrrrghhh.....timing is everything, I just bought the exact same one Monday!.....Putting it between my squeezebox and Mc C26. I'm happy to hear you like it after reading good reviews on it. I went with both the upgraded tube and op amps and look forward to testing it out. Did you try any other tubes in it ?
Best of luck with sale!

I would like as many bells and whistles as possible. As far as my budget 1300. I really prefer Yamaha..
Here's one that fits what you're looking for. Except XLR (sorry was typing when you posted that !...lol

Welcome, what's your location? If you're looking for best bang for buck look for used Klipsch. The guys in here are great resources for pointing you in the right direction and maybe already have what you're looking for. For room that size rf82's would be minimum for my tastes.
God luck in your search.

IMO,
$950.00 tops with the sub.
RF-35's------$400.00 (My cousin just paid 350.00 for mints, I paid 400 for mine.)
RC-35--------$200.00 (cousin just paid 150 for rc-52, dont see rc-35's up here often)
RS-3II's------$200.00 (Ad has 4 of these so 200.00 seems a lil low)
RW-10-------$150.00 (No Idea)

If after a period of time you're willing to ship the RC 35 I have a friend interested in Toronto canada.

Is it possible to order direct from Klipsch and ship to you???? Might be worth asking. Rick
klipsch requires Canadians to go through Gentel here in north Toronto. The mark up they do, I find prices them out of contention unless you have the coin and willing to pay the extra. I've tried to order individual parts (drivers for some rb61's iv) and they marked them up a lil too much when I priced them down in US and the Toronto guy who sells Klipsch parts on Ebay outside of Canadian distributer doesn't have them. I'm not going to flame on % of mark up,but I personally find it unreasonable.
By the way if anyone here has 2 spare drivers for them I'd love to work something out.....worth a shot!
Congrats on new speaker buy.....As long as you're happy it's all goooooood !...enjoy them. Ive never heard Defs.

Ajoker2c - I may have to take you up on that when I'm in the area. I'd like to hear those and get an idea... have to keep track of all these different model numbers!
I would think sticking with rf 82's for that size room wuld be good. The rf 35's can handle that size as well. My room is 15x25.
PM me anytime if your interested in checking them out....

I actually saw some nice equipment at Newegg.com but unfortunately shipping isn't available to Canada. Any sites that you know ship go Canada?
Shipping and fees from US kills most if not all deals from online companies.

Keep looking much better deals out there to be had. I scored some rf-82's for 200 rc-62 for 200 and rs-52 for 350. 750 for a full 82 home theater! The deals are out there just have to be patient.
Different buying envioronment up here unfortunately. Need WAY more patience. There are deals up here but need to jump fast on them.
Tibz35, I'm in east toronto and can give you a good feel for what the RF 35's (same size as 82's but older) can do with a rc64 and rb81 as surrounds if interested in coming down for a session. I have extra set of RB61's I can swap out to give you a feel for them as well. Also have Heresy II's if you haven't heard heritage line.
I'm with the guys and saying you need to be patient to get what you're looking for.

Colin, you have a homeboy there in Canada who builds some amazing tube amps at a very good price ( 300 ), he calls his business Musical Paradise. ..Roost
+1 on the Musical paradise tube amps. Sounded sweet and had enough juice to easily handle my heresys. My room is 14x24.
I see them come up periodically on canuckaudiomart.
Here's link:

And the speaker terminals are used for a zone 2 or to use a 2nd set of speakers in same area. I have a c26 hooked to MC250 and use those terminals for speakers in an adjacent room when girlfriend is using HT system in living room.
Hope that answers question appropriately.

its all good . no worries. @ ajoker2c
[] Like the others in here, if you see something you want in amps, pre amps down in Toronto area, I can help get it to you if needed. Let us know the source and amp models you're using now and a budget you have if upgrade is needed.
Timmins appears to be recent hotbed for good deals lately

........just sayin......if I'm wrong my apologies.
You state I was wrong in the way I percieved it and I'm back to apologise........ again
I'm well aware of the nature of "the big nickel".
I truly hope you can work out something with the room, I've heard Khorns once and it sent shivers up my spine.
Stick around and go to school with these great guys in here and their knowledge. I wish I was playing with the "Big Boys"
Mr Mallette posted while i was typing my apology and see the great advice. I'm always searching out and can PM any sweet deals up your way for appropriate amps. What source and music format are you using to the amp you have now?
Garbage in = garbage out.

Or he just came in to phish for a selling price......he did edit the OP from kijjiji pretty quickly after I posted it here........just sayin......if I'm wrong my apologies....just seems odd he would come in happy he purchased a 25 yr dream of having Khorns, then 1 day later post them up for sale after getting info on them.

i just aquired a set of k horns. i have wanted a set of these for nearly 25 years, and just finally got them. any ideas as to a fair going price on what they,re worth nowadays? they,re condition is about a 6-7 out of 10. thnx in advance, colin oates
I see you edited the "5100 original price" from Kijijji ad. Seems like your taking one hell of a financial hit on these "just aquired a set of k horns".
Sorry to hear you don't have the proper room for these beauties and must be frustrating to take a 3300 dollar hit just to test these out after longing for them for 25 yrs.

I'm using an app called iPeng for my squeezebox duet. Works very well and I like the interface alot better then the logitect app for squeezebox. The upgraded iPeng also allows you to use an iPhone or iPad as a transport wirelessly. I use my iPad hooked up into bedroom set up using FLAC files on laptop in living room.
