  1. I have the 'high speed' internet from Charter 18mb down 2mb up - not sure how that compares to others. I will say that the picture is blurry for about the first 15 seconds after I click play, but it's crystal clear from then on. I'm also streaming Netflix on my wireless PS3.
  2. When you "click" on the movie and it bring up the 'play now' option, look to the left/top of the movie/show description. It will have a little box with 'HD' if it will stream in HD and a box that says '5.1' if the program is available in '5.1'. I got Netflix and turned off my cable.. I have noticed at the first of the month a TON of newer movies and shows were released to Netflix. **edit: thought I was quoting jason in his post but for some reason, i'm too dumb to figure out how to quote a post.
  3. Thanks for the quick reply! You guys around here are sharp. I don't believe it has the pre-outs... guess I'll be looking at an upgrade after I get these speakers. I, too, recently purchased an LG 47LW5600 and love it! I've got the ps3 for blu-ray, so all I think I need is the speakers (for now) to be content. Next on the list, though, is a kegerator
  4. ..ordering within the next two weeks. Currently, I have an SW-450 hooked up with an RC-62ii on the way. Within the next 2 weeks, I'm placing an order for a pair of RF-82ii & RS-52ii to complete (for now haha) my system. I have an older Denon AVR-790 and I'm concerned I'll need an amp to get the best perfomance from the center, fronts, and rears. I noticed emovita seems to be a popular brand amongst the boards I lurk. Anyone have a similar setup that could give me some pointers/advice on anything I will need?
  5. Thanks for the help Pete!!! In order of importance 1. Gaming 2. Music 3. Movies. I'm beginning to think I should have gone with the RC62 ii in place of the 52. Thoughts on getting the RS52 ii next ( I currently have no rears), RF82 ii, then upgrading the center?
  6. I was leaning toward the RF-62 ii, do you think there would be a very noticable difference? I find it hard to believe the 62's would over power the center that much...
  7. Thanks for the input. I'm extremely new to the surround sound hobby. I have always just bought the 'surround in a box' (smh). I bought a house last year and have finally decided it's time to pony up some coin and getting something nice to me that will last. I love the look of the reference series, the specs look legit and it's within my small budget. I was in Best Buy and heard the SW-450.. that's when I realized I was hooked. This seems like a great (but very expensive) hobby!!
  8. What's up guys! I'm sure the regulars are used to these kind of posts by now.. but here we go. I've been lurking for a few weeks and finally signed up for some help. I've got a Klipsch SW-450 currently and an old Denon AVR-790 receiver. I found a (what I thought) good deal last week on an RC-52 ii for $235 brand new in the box. I scooped it up, waiting on it to deliver. My question now, to match the center, should the floor standing and rear surrounds be the same size as the center speakers? To keep in my budget, I was looking at getting the RF-62 ii or RF-82 ii however, I didn't want the floor speakers to over power the center. Is there a rule of thumb on this? Thanks in advance for any help. Also, the room is small... about 15x13. Cheers!
