Agree with the others. Tweeters are directional but they are not an exact aim due to the horn dispersing the sound. Best thing to do is play with different things. Try angling them down a bit if you like. My guess is the amount of angle that the floor spikes will add will not make any noticeable difference but that's just a guess. I have my LaScalas angled downward but that's because my tweeters are several feet above my ears.
So where are the pics of your upgraded setup?
Here are some pics, very crappy phone pics with no light lol! Ignore TV, I have 138" screen and epson 5040ube on way.

Rob ddj knows rf7s☺
U are very precise norhing wrong with that. With dispersion its not needed but what u are doing is ideal as long as its not a big tilt. Tilting away from ceiling in a carpeted room is fine to do. I would not as appearance matters too. Try both see what u like.
Tilt is very minor, but less than 1/8l moved teeeter from 46"+ to 42". Still above esr height but not by much.

I just got my (4) RF7II's to replace my (4) RF82II's.
I built the riser in my theater so tweeter was exactly
at ear height of 41". The RF7II's tweeter is at 45-46"
When using spikes. So I screwed in front spikes and
Screwed out rear spikes to angle the speaker foward
So tweeter was with in 1" (confirmed with laser) at ear
Height. Anyone here ever do this? Do you think this could
Cause any issues with sound? I am asking because all I
Have ever done was raise a floor standing speaker never
Have tilted one.

I talked to the seller, he is wanting to send another cross over. I will just not use wides. 9.2 is better than nothing

Hot glue and solder yes. If they're brand new with a warranty I wouldn't mess with it. Get a replacement.
I rather not wait, theater is down until then as I sold other speakers

82 and 7s very similar. Tilt only needed if your seating position is very far from the surrounds. I cant see it being worth it and the look wont be good either. The avr will set a level and they will be fine as long as they point towards the general area.
I use aydyssey pro so it will adjust. I am just very finicky about stuff being perfect. Laser on all speakers to assure they are exactly even lol!
I think your correct on the tilt actually, especially with a larger cabinet on RF82II. Tilted floor standing speaker is not ideal. I HATED tilting my RC64II up to listening position fir my projection sceen. I refuse to put it behind a accoustic screen, it really hurts mid range frewuency response and causes bad reflection and that = distortion.

Yes it is fine but strap them for safety.
Although a tilt towards the listener is ideal i think it unnecessary. Surrounds that are rf7 will have plenty of dispersion and tilting it may make one seat good and others not as much unless done perfectly. i would not tilt them.
Very good point actually, dispersion would be over a greater area with them not tilting. I will but laser to assure middle of tweeter is betweenmu 2 rows. They are 15' away from mlp so plenty of dispersion.
Good advice!

My surrounds will be RF82II not RF7II, I am using RF7II as fronts/wides.
If I tilt they will 100% secured. I am leaning towards no tilt. Maybe a very slight tilt.

No. We do have our front RF-7s on 3" risers because of an obstacle in one's location. Right now we are using RB-75s as side surrounds on barstools and have rear RB-75s tilted down on shelves in the rear....We also have RB-5s tilted down that are being used as heights. {Note: both the rear and height speakers are on their side.}
I use RB61II for rear surrounds and heights, in pic below are the RF82II I am replacing with RF7II (wide/front). This pic is before I added 2nd row of seating.
I now have a 138"screen with 5040ube
Not the little 64" TV lol!

The new ones aren't out yet, I don't think the originals were tilted, not sure about the RF7ll.
I rather tilt across the entire enclosure with a accoustic pad to decouple a bit. Lot of times tilting a speaker can throw it off axis, that is my concern
-
I have to have them a bit higher, than my front & wide RF7II. The riser they will be on will be bolted to subfloor, did you tilt yours?
-
I recently purchased (4) RF7II to replace my wides & fronts that are currently RF82II.
These are in fully dedicated theater.
I have RB61II as my surrounds and figured why not use the RF82II as surrounds. I was planning on putting them on a 20"'enclosure and tilt them slightly with a slanted isolation pad and this will put them at 62".
My question is, will it be okay to tilt these slightly? I have never tilted a floor standing speaker. My reasoning is to have surrounds in same place as bookshelves where (62") and aimed slightly down above ear level. I can't put them on floor at ear level bacuse my 2nd row of seating is on 10" riser to see over 1st row that is on 6" riser.
If I can't tilt I will mount them at 48" (middle tweeter) so tweeter is slightly (2") above 2nd row setting. And 4" above 1st row setting.
So tilt or no tilt guys? -
agreed, I use a boom Mic mounted on auralex mic isolation pads.Tri-pod is much less, but, a Mic Stand as described in the Audyssey FAQ is better.

you should never touch the gain control on subs, turn up sub via Audyssey interface. This brings an interesting question! At what level do most of members set the sub or subs when initially setting up auto eq on their setup for home theater? I know I always tried to start my subs fairly low @ around 20-25% and then turn them up later preference after room eq is done
-
the mounts I posted I can't do that....works have to use screws since there is no button pedestal.I have a different model then the omni mounts, but same principle. Instead of putting screws into my rb81's then rb 61's I used velcro tape and it works perfectly safe. I just used 2 small squares on the speakers bottoms.
-
You guys think it will be fine to drill holes in the back of the RB61II and use the mounts below (see link). I would seal the holes with green glue our green glue sealant. I may even go nuts and bolts and take woofer out to be sure I don't hit anything. What size screws would you suggest using.
-
they still make themNo, mine were a little different.
Mine were BT77 (no longer available). Here are some stock photos of them.
And here are some pics of them with my previous RB-35's.

Speaker cost are very minimal compared to the room I have built lol! I will look up what u spent in speakers..I got them all at the "American appliance" closing lol!

also I the digital bank it has DVD wich is a video source, and then VCR on video bank...rich is a video source also. Weird the way they labeled it.
well while we are lol'ing would make sense to me for a video source to go through a video bank?
lol! This is a power station...no hdmi.first available HDMI port

I was thinking that but it could also go in digital couldn't it? The TV also has a video source going to it but it is digital correct?

Stupid question but have to ask....where do you guys plug your Blu-ray in on the PF60? The digital or video bank? I have my Xbox in the auxiliary plug but need to know where to plug in the Blu-ray.
Thanks.
Stupid question, where do you guys plug your Blu-ray player in on the PF60

It sounds pretty impressive, I can turn it up louder with the RF7II vs the RF82II in front, the RF7II are a lot less sharp on the ears.
Room was a lot of work, 6 layers of drywall with 3 tubes of green glue beteeen each sheet.
36'L X 8'H X 25'W, wish ceilings where a bit higher. Adding in second row of seats this week on 12" riser.
