  1. ROFlmao! I actually am the same....it is not dirt...I have no idea what it is lol! I am just going to replace it!
  2. I did to fail to mention that I only paid $20.00 for a 4' X 2' X 2" of the charcoal. Buy I do here ya, I saw a pic of your room with panels.. wich series do you have?
  3. I tried the sono suede and did not like the look of them at all and there was no difference in sound over the foam to justify the price. Foam can't be that bad since it is there number one seller. I also like that the fish is much more customizable and can be configured a lot easier.
  4. Thanks!! All I have left is the back wall!
  5. Finally installed my sound treatments, system sounds 100X better...wow!!! Looks pretty awesome to. The sound is so pure....WELL worth the money!! Main listening position: Front sound stage: Right side of front sound-stage (Soon to have another A5-350): Left side of front sound-stage: By robc1976 at 2011-10-08 Surrounds: Bass traps:
  6. I have a RC-62II available if interesyed...like new condition. I would go with bookshelves with your set up. Probally RB-61II
  7. Its 15.6' wide and 16' long with 9' ceilings. Almost square. Have you considered heights at all?? I don't think you have enough width for wides but heights you most defianatly do and I would! I would go with RB-61II.
  8. Don't go with the klipsch sub...it is laughable at best....very weak sub and you can do much better at that price point.
  9. I agree with the above, but my surrounds are always at the same level...fronts, wides, heights and espeacially the sub are usually different by at least 1Db or more. I usually go up 1Db on my fronts and heights and 1.5 Db on the center. I was listening to music and these RB-61II have a lot better sound IMHO.
  10. Great looking Room...if I may ask how wide and long is the room? What height are the ceilings?
  11. Did you use an SPL meter or were you doing it by ear? I really can't imagine there would be much difference in sound and there shouldn't be any in SPL. I didn't do that yet, but there is a VERY big difference in sound quality and i was a bit surprised, even my wife noticed it.....sounds are much more smooth,crisp...I think maybe these image a lot better. Whatever it is it is a improvment to me at least!
  12. No, Audyssey set the RB-61II's 3DB louder and I wondered why? I then put both speakers at 0Db and the RB-61II's seemed much louder and clearer...so I was wondering why it sets the trims the way it did....I woulfd have thought the RB-61 would have been turned down more not up?
  13. The cut sheet is under the RB-61 system and they are rated the same as the II's, 95dB @ 2.83V / 1m. That is correct, that is why I was so surprised.
  14. Are you serious....Man I am P#$#$#! I didn't know that LOL!! Time to play 3D!!!
  15. They also use a different crossover, I had them side by side and the RB-61II are louder so I am not sure what its going on lol!
  16. I just got my last pair of RB-61II to replace my RB-61 and ran Audyssey and with the RB-61 Audyssey set them to -7.5 and it sets the RB-61II to -4.5 wich is a 3Db difference. I noticed with the RB-61II they have more detail/crisper and I wonder why there is a difference of 3Db....the Rb-61II actually seem louder so I was a bit surprised. Both sets of speakers are in the same location exactly with ISO series Auralex speaker-dudes. Any thoughts guys? any other difference's you have noticed? Needless to say they sound great!
  17. The RC 62 or Rc-62II do mach up great with the RF-82II but so does the RC-64II....I like it much better because of the more dynamic range and detail...but this may mach up with mine better since I do have 4 RF-82II in my front soundstage. I did have the RC-62II and had no complaints but the RC-64II is much better and is VERY wise to sink a good amount of your money into your center since it one of the most important speakers IMHO.
  18. Actually ED came thru and I have a 500 watt amp on the way, but I did have to add material already since I am using a smaller 300 wattt amp.
  19. 6mo holy cow that’s way too long they should sent you a new sub before making you wait that long. I agree...my sub has had a 300 watt amp in it since the last 4 didn't work....I callled them today and got pretty ignorant, welll I have a 500 watt amp on the way.
  20. LOL. You guys are cracking me up. Sorry I'm the forum police. Ajoker is correct. It would be much better for you to start your own thread. You will get better more input that way. I'd be glad to provide my opinion on it. Actually I should no better than this I actually own my own forum LOL!
  21. That is cheap!!! My Tv was over $4,000 They are relatively inexpensive, of course the technology is changing rapidly and you get what you pay for, but I would say you can get an EXCELLENT projector and screen for less than what you spent on your TV. Again, though, do some research as not every pj is a good fit for every room. Size, brightness, lens, and many other paticulars come into play on the different projectors...also you want to match it to the right screen. Look at some of the Panasonics and higher end Epson's for a starting point. I had a limited budget that is likely below where you are at so I can't get into too many recomendations. Dumb question...I calibrate TV's (LOVE it!!)...how is a projectors picture compared to a top of the line plasma??? Good black levels and everything? My Xbox can be played on a projector correct? I was looking athe 90-106" range
  22. That is cheap!!! My Tv was over $4,000
  23. I call this the "Happy Meal Syndrome". Quantity over quality. So you are saying NOT to have any headroom??? You say quanity over quality?? That is plain silly because I see a LOT of quality in his set-up! So I guess my set-up is the same...well I dont like Mcdonalds. Another point is this.... it is HIS system and he is very proud of what he has and he should be, is there a real reason to knock his system? Dude, given any thought to a projector? You've got thousands tied up in a dedicated room and that display looks small-ish. I'm not trying to be a dick or comment on people's personal finances, but you've proved by posting this pic that you clearly can afford a projector. It looks like you've got the wall space for one too! Maybe the perspective of the pic is throwing me off. That display is 64" so it is a bit small...my room is 27' X 28' X 8 ' how much is a projector...I could maybe a order one this weekend.....I also need some auralex sound treatments.
  24. I have found this replacement plate amp for my Elemental design A5-350...I am not real happy with Elemental design...I have waited over 6 months for a replacement...I have a LT 300 wattt amp and it is supposed hve a 500 watt. So long story short do you guys think this is a good plate-amp?? It has pretty good reviews. http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=300-752
