I was quoted $584 to ship to NY. Definitely not free shipping. Still tempting...

shipping is free
I believe the free shipping is part of their standard form. It says message for freight shipping quote in the description.

If I wasn’t on the other side of the country I’d be picking these up myself. There’s a make offer button as well.

I downloaded Kodi to my fire stick 2 or 3 years ago with a simple YouTube guide... And loved it for a little while.
Now none of the movies will play.. from any available source on Kodi.. at first I think the industry got hip and started posting bogus movies then copyright infringement started screwing it up.
Is anyone else still able to watch movies and shows through Kodi?
Yep, mine works perfect. I watch everything in perfect HD. Delete what you have on there. Install the latest version of Kodi, I believe it’s 18 now. Then follow YouTube videos on the addons to install. My favorite right now is yoda. You just need to update things every once in a while.

I was the first poster, but he sold it to someone else.
Ah, I see that now. That’s too bad. They don’t come up too often. If I see another one I’ll let you know. Best of luck

Thanks, I'll give it some thought. I'm hoping to find one in the US, but we will see.
You just missed a great deal on one. I almost bought it myself. Just checked to see if it was still available but I believe it just sold. Here’s the link

The acoustic speaker cloth for the "One Buttons" arrived this morning so I was able to cover the frames I'd made over the weekend. The cloth is actually made from a woven fibreglass which has been coated with something to facilitate cleaning. It's fire rated too, which I had to test of course Blow me down, a butane torch wouldn't even set it on fire! The Russian made brass badges look pretty good, so overall, we're very happy with the result.
The next job is to make the risers...
Sorry, having trouble with uploading a pic right now. The file size is too big for forum rules I'll sort it soon...
Nice work on the grills! They look thick, do they effect the sound at all?

There’s a guy selling H1 grills on Audiomart. Looks like he makes them. Maybe you could each out to him about making you some H3 grills. Doesn’t look to hard to make a template to do yourself. Make them slightly larger and sand to perfection.

Just got a call in reference to this so I've been combing through it. I've never seen these before. I get B-stock regularly but they are finished out. If you wanted to do something custom then maybe I guess. The ones I get have the risers, finish, and grill. Often times they are prettier than normal ones but can't be sold as new A-stock since they are so crazy. If they are mismatched or maybe have repairable issues then sometimes they get sprayed with the texture paint that you have on the pro models. Below are the B-stock Heresy that I get. The only ones I've ever gotten with no riser was a big batch that was supposed to go to China, apparently they don't like risers over there for whatever reason. I just got 20 of the black texture paint ones.
I’m very interested in ordering some stuff from you. I don’t have Facebook and really don’t want it. Can we get the same kind of deals through PM on the forum?

The speakers in the ad are not the same as the Hudson. Different cabinetry, driver compliment/crossover and finishing. They are amazing sound in their own right but not the same.
Re speakers, ampsandsound generally only builds on spec at this point. Most customers like being able to chose exactly what they want.
I however, love building speakers... as I have done for many years, I still build about 2-3 pairs a year.... listen and sell off at a reasonable price. Ive taken to changing the ports to differentiate these more clearly now... triangle ports.
As an side, Ill be listing a pair of my personal speakers later... Finally need to complete a pair of my Royals... JWC Bass bins with Daves horns. Its been sitting in my garage staring at more for far too long. Time to own a pair of the big boys.
What’s your website? Where can I read more about your builds?

They don’t come up too often. There is a pair of the triangle shaped you’re after RS62’s on eBay that look nice. Nothing wrong with a little upgrade.

These were posted in December, I didn't notice the ad until this week.
I contacted him and he told me that the bass was acting up in one speaker and he was going to pull the ad.
I told him I was still interested and can likely find the problem. He offered them to me much cheaper, if I didn't want them he would give them to a friend.
I picked them up, didn't even hook them up for the price.
I tested them out, one of the woofers is shorted out. Anyone have, know of a woofer for a CF-3 v1, I heard they changed them for the later versions (I could be wrong about that).
When you say shorted... in the voice coil or possibly a loose connection in the wire going to the spider?

Exactly like all the other reasonably priced pairs of Chorus II's I have been searching for, gone in the first 24 hours.
They had brand new grills, new Crites crossovers, new Crites mid Diaphrams, and new tweeter Diaphrams. The guy recently put nearly the asking price in parts. Cabinets looked nice too. Those deals never seem to come up in my area either:(
-
Upgraded Chorus II’s for $750
If these were close to me I’d be grabbing them myself.

If these were closer to me I’d have to check them out.

Seems like a good price. The guy keeps lowering them. Someone grab them so I don’t have to. I’ve got so many RF7 and RF7 II’s already. I have been wanting to check out the III’s

Oops. My apologies.
I've bought stuff from them and never had an issue. Thought it was a good deal, didn't know about the adorama one.
Cheers
It’s definitely not a bad deal. Just some places have been closing them out since the 3080’s came out
-
Adorama just had them new in the box for 1099 with free shipping. I don’t think I’d want a display model everyone messed with.
-
These have been listed for months. He’s dropped the price a couple times. There’s a pair of Cornwall II’s listed for 1500 as well near by.

I too was not real pleased with that decision but after seeing and hearing a pair at Youthman's house, the look grew on me. Much better looking in person IMO.
Bill
Did you get to compare them to the RF7 II? I’m sure they sound great. It just makes no sense that they offer a piano finish in a model that costs half as much. My home is very modern, that’s the reason I don’t have a heritage home theater.
-
I have 4 pair of original RF-7’s and a pair of RF-7II that I’m very happy with. I have not heard the RF-7III yet. I really wasn’t happy that they went back to the cheap looking fronts. I’m sure the RF-7III’s sound great but I’m disappointed in the design.
Just yesterday I was in Best Buy magnolia and saw the new RP8000’s. Mine doesn’t carry the RF-7III. I didn’t get a chance to listen to them but they looked amazing. The piano finish looked incredible in person. If they offered the same finish in RF-7III I’d already have a pair.
I did have the RP160’s and really liked the new horn. If I were you I’d try to listen to the 8000’s. There’s some dealers that would make you a killer deal on them. I bet they sound great and would save you quite a bit of cash. Sounds like you’ve got the bass covered. Especially if you’re doing mostly home theater. If you’re going to do more music, maybe the RF-7III would be worth the extra money.
-
I always wanted woofers with nipples. Those are definitely interesting lol.
-
RB-75’s don’t come up often. I’ve owned them and they were very good. I also owned the RB-5’s and didn’t care for them. The newer RP-160’s I was very impressed with. Some places had them on sale for 300 a pair shipped recently. They’re on eBay pretty often around 300 shipped as well. Another option if you get the the Fry’s emails they just had the RB61 II’s for $190 with promo code. Best of luck
