  1. thats what everyone says about having the crossovers done on the RF7's and the RC7's as well. That really makes me wonder what they would sound like now.I think it was willand that said he thinks it goes RF7>RF83>RF7ii>RF7w/Dean Crossovers. And worst case if the RF83's sell first and I cant take the dents in the cones on the RF7's.I can get new woofers for $162 each from Klipsch
  2. So in my retarded head that is what I have in mind.So I listed both sets of speakers on craigslist. So if the RF83's sell first then perfect I will keep the RF7's and send the crossovers to Dean. And if the RF7's sell first then I already love the sound of the RF83's.So kinda win win for me I guess. And the only reason I used the biwire is that was the only decent cable I had.And on the RF7's I had to use the biwire and again the seller gave me the wire with the RF7's too.Now if I can just get one of the pairs to sell I can start working for sure on the center.
  3. I did actually do that already.I was just curious on the biwiring just in case it would have made a difference.Sorry I told you probably a dumb question.
  4. So this could be a stupid question. So the guy I got the RF7's from gave me the biwired monster wire that he had hooked up to them.So would it make any difference in sound for the RF83's if I also hooked them up biwired as well as the RF7's.I am just curious if this is why they sound a bit better than the RF7's.
  5. I am still gonna try and sell both the RF7's and the RF83's and then I will keep the one that doesnt sell. And I will then get the center channel to match it.
  6. actually those are the ones that I posted on craigslist myself. And no they will not go down lower than what I have them now
  7. Shake does have a RC64 for a good deal but it has a few little issues but nothing too bad and then I found one other one in louisiana too.
  8. Yeah I missed it as usual. But I am scared to have one shipped to tell you the truth.I am gonna go take a look tomorrow at the RC7 that is local and go from there.
  9. This might be absurd but I really like both of these speakers.I think I might put them both up on craigslist and which ever one sells first I will keep the other.I am completely fine with either pair.Is this stupid.
  10. I wasnt trying to make you mad FISH.Just saying $6000 worth of speakers in 2 sets of RF83's versus $3000 worth of speakers in the RF7's.When there isnt much difference in sound at all between the 2.I like both dont get me wrong. And holy crap those are awesome prices you paid for the 83's dang.So whats your opinion of the RC64 against the RC7 then since you have both
  11. The one thing that makes me want to keep the RF7's over the RF83's is there is s guy local that has a RC7 for sale but just not sure how much $.
  12. I understand you love your RF7's but that is a little absurd saying you wouldnt' take 2 pairs of RF83's.Don't get me wrong they sound amazing and look great minus the dings in the cones.I still have both and will keep testing throughout the night and tomorrow morning to see if the RF7's change my mind.
  13. I am very very suprised that the decision was as tough as it was.On the other side I called Klipsch and they sell the woofers for the RF7's for $162 each. But the RC64 is very tough to get as I am finding out now.
  14. So I listened and listened and listened and then I listened to both of them.So I think the RF7's are a little brighter but not night and day difference. And I think the bass out of the RF83's is a little bit better. So between the RF83's being almost brand new and the RF7's having a few dings in the cones.I have decided to go with the RF83's.So now I am in need of a RC64.Anyone selling one in good shape by chance.
  15. Perfect that is what I wanted to know on the Y adapters.I will go ahead and do the Y adapters.Besides the cable you referred to in your last post on this are there any that are better than others without breaking the bank of course.Or how about bang for your buck or do they all do the same thing or no
  16. When doing the 2 Y adapters on the back of the subs.Does it make a huge difference if i just run the cable directly to the sub and bypass the other 2 y adapters.Or does it sound better with the 2 extra y adapters
  17. perfect just wanted to make sure on that one.But I do need to order another sub cable so I am wondering if I should just order 2 of those thxi1000 sub cables at $17 each
  18. I have seen where some have done a RCA y cable from the sub out and then the sub cables from that to both subs. But I have also seen where some have done actual speaker wire instead.
  19. Okay so I am trying to do an A/B comparison with my rf7's an rf83's, but I would like to have both of my RW-12D's hooked up to see what they sound like together. So I have done a bunch of research but have not found a for sure answer. Also I know that everyone hates monster but on amazon they have some of the THXi100-SW25 sub cables for $17 each are they worth getting. Thanks again guys
  20. they would be in perfect shape if it wasnt for the dents in the dust covers on the left speaker
