Thanks, thats what I was thinking, don't think I will move to 7.1 anytime soon due to room layout. But was thinking a bookshelf on a mount that i can tilt and twist to match the postion of the towers. thanks

Okay here's question. I am the only person listening to my HT and my seating postion is dead center of the tv with my towers towed in towards me. My surround or back speakers will be about 5 feet off the ground and on the wall right behind me about 3 feet from my head on either side. Since there is nobody on the left or right of me do I really need a speaker like the RS-52ii or can I get the same sound from a pair of RB-61ii's? Do the "Surrounds" produce a sound that the "Bookshelf" speakers can't? I was planning on putting a swivel mount on the wall so that I can turn the speakers inward toward my seating postion to matcht the towers. Thanks for reading and any responses Rustolem

Got another question for everyone, for those that already have their RF-7ii's, what other speakers did you consider or replace before buying the Klipsch? Ready to order but still not 100% sure, its a toss up between the Klipsch and Aperion.

Well room is about 19x19 with 8 ft ceilings and the surrounds will be very close to my seating postion to where I can almost reach out and touch them. That's why I thought that I might need the larger speaker.

Getting ready to order my HT, but had a quick question for everyone. I will be getting the RF-7ii, RC-64ii and a SW-112 sub, but wanted to know if matching these with a set of the RS-42ii's is okay? The speakers will be on the wall at ear height and only about 3 feet from my head on either side, so I didn't think I needed to purchase the larger RS-52 or 62 models since the speakers will be so close. I would buy the bigger ones if they were gonna be up in the corners like most. Thanks for any input.

Well I was planning on just the SW-112, so not a monster sub like some others and mostly wanted it for movies anyway, but was curious how the 7's did with bass on their own. Oh and what crossover settings do you have your speakers set on? Thanks

Hey, larbo13 asked the question about whether you had your RF-7ii's on "large" or "small" for those that answered can you tell me what crossever settings you have chosen when using either the large or small setting? For those that are using "large", when you are playing music and are in 2 channel mode. do you feel the woofers in the towers do the job well ebough that you don't need the sub like you would have if the fronts were set to "small"? Kinda think I already did that and couldn't find anything big enough to support the size of the center channel. Which is why I was on here asking for help from anybody that already may have found something. Thanks for taking your time to be sarcastic it was much apperciated.

What difference is there in the sound you get from the RF-7ii's, which have no midrange speaker, comapred to other brands that do inculde a midrange speaker in their tower? Coming from previous brand Polk and GoldenEar which both include a midrage speaker in their towers. Thanks Rustolem

Hey thanks for your response, so does music sound better with the fronts set to small so that the sub is involved. And is there a difference in sound in movies when the fronts are on either large or small as long you have the right crossover settings? Thanks

Okay looking at a purchase of the RF-7ii - RC-64ii and a powered sub, this will be connected to a Yamaha RX-A3000 and here's my question. What speakers setting would be recommened for this setup when it comes to my avr. I want to listen to music but would like to have the sub involved when doing so, but was under the impression that the only way to achieve that is to set the fronts to small. If doing this will it affect the quality of sound that comes out the fronts when listening to 5.1 surround with movies? I am currently using a set of Goldenear Triton Two Towers Sat50 center channel and no sub and have deciced the just don't have the volume that I had in my old Polk setup with large center and sub. YES.. i was watching this the other night to show off my new sub to the folks. bullets flying all around us, smiles on all faces - inlcuding my mom who feels spending money on such things is pointless. You have one of those too? I thought I was the only one.

Thanks for responses.. one more question its about Amp, I will be using my current Yamaha RX-A3000 recevier with a complete Klipsch 5.1 system including the RF-7ii and the 64 center channel.. is this enough juice to do them justice? Cause I don't know the first thing about amps, I was looking at the 3 channel Emotiva XPA-3 and looks pretty straight forward to hookup. Thanks Rustolem

Hey wanted to say awesome setup.. I had the Mits 82837 and just earlier this year upgraded to the 92840 with the Clear Contrast Screen, and I can say is it was holy crap improvement. The colors are so much more vibrant and bright with that new screen, so if you get and chance check one out you will love it. Thanks

Want to know if these are too big in sound and size for my living room. I have a 19.5 x 19.5 room with a Mits 92840 DLP, add in 2 recliners and 1 couch and right now I sit about 10 feet from the TV but with the size of these speakers I could see pushing the TV another 3 feet back. So would the sound of these monster speakers overwhelm the room or me? I play alot of Xbox, watch movies and play alot of music either internet radio, mp3's or concert dvd's or blu's. Also I want to add the RC-64 ii center channel as well and a sub. I really like my music loud and love my bass and right now I have a set of GoldenEar Triton Towers and they sound fantastic but just don't have that volume I wanted. Thanks

Hi new here so here's my first post. Purchased the RF-62 II, should be here today, and will be connected to the Yamaha, what I wanted to know was in the speaker setup should the fronts be set to LARGE or SMALL? My current setup is Polk Audio Floor standing, and when I set them to LARGE and play music videos or mp3s I get no subwoofer, but when I change the fronts to SMALL the sub starts working. Is this the case for all speakers or does it have to do with the receiver? Does having the floor standing fronts set to small effect the quality of the audio when watching either DTS/Dolby video or Blu-ray movies. Very new and uninformed when it come to all the different audio/speaker settings and looking for some help. Thanks for any response.
