For example.. I have a 9.5 x 25 room in the basement and if I would buy a projector and put my LCR and 2 svs nsd's behind the screen for a good start, but from there do I use my rb81's as front wide and use rs7's for surround back and sides for 9.2 or stick with 7.2 and put rb81's on the back wall and put rs7's for rear sides and have no wides. And if you can pick up 1 or 2 more subs do you put them in the back. Can a denon 4520 handle those for 9.2 or do you need external. LCR is a 64 and 83's.

I was just wondering if 9 speakers is to many, and if a person did do that where would you put them if you had rf series. This is just a general question for everybody. And what about subs is 2 enough or do you go for 4 one in each corner? This is for basic HT that somebody might put in a room in a basement or even a livingroom. I know there's a lot that plays a factor but it seems like these are the most common. Thanks

I talked to a klipsch dealer today and he's clearing out his ref second gen for the new reference series that will be in his store in February. So whatever they are doing its replacing second generation reference.

I just talked to the guy, they are display items but they are priced to go. Audio experts. Pair of rs52 for 418, rb61s 317 and rc 62 is 317, and rc52 is 209. they are only clearing out 2nd gen stuff to get ready for the new rrfetence in February.

Best buy magnolia will price match that price, I bought the step down model for 150 because they price matched.

I paid 250 for a pair and passed upnon a second pair for 300. Should of bought the second pair. Mine were first gen tho.

The walls would have to stay for now, the larger bedroom will have to work for now. Thanks for the ideas. It will be fun when I do tackle the basement.

The projector idea did pop into my head but that would be later on. I'd still have see about the basement because the house was built in 1948 so I could convert parts of it.

The 7's are sitting on the sub's for now. Where would I put the rb's and how high should everything be, I also have a 18 and 30 inch stand. The couch is 89 inches long and it reclines so the 7's would work better behind it. The setup will have to go in the basement down the road I'll just have to buy a smaller couch because the basement room is 102 inches wide.

The magic always starts in the HT room... I'm doing a bunch of work on the main level so I wanted to get my stuff away from it. The basement turned into a maybe because of cost. I always wanted a room just for movies so this is the only way right now.

This is the layout the door opens to the east wall, and I won't really use the closet. Scrappy suggested couch on east wall with the 81s behind it, and the gear all on the west wall so I can spread things out. If layout won't work that way the I might put the sub's and towers and TV on north wall. I just need to make sure the powermax cord is long enough. Thanks for the help scrappy.

I'm good , I remember what they look like from when you bought them, I bought the ones in Minneapolis new in a box when you bought yours 4 months ago. If you bought the ones with the shrinkage on the forum.

I'm trying to convert one of my friends to klipsch and i keep telling him your setup will smoke mine and that its a pretty good deal. How much are you wanting for the setup including the rs7s. He lives in mason city Iowa so the big part will be how they get up here. Will a onkyo 809 be powerful enough to push all that. He has 2 klipsch sw450 for sub's right now also.

Nice set, to bad I just bought 83s and a 64. My rs7s would go nicely with them, good luck with the sale.

I had a $100 samsung bd and jumped to the pioneer elite bd62 and I could tell a big difference in sound and a little in picture. Loading speed is faster and there is less noise when loading.

I have the same issue with my Denon 4250 running my 83s when I have it on pure. But movie sound grest with my 5.2 setup, just odd cuz the 83s sounded awesome on pure with my onkyo 809.

What's more important side wides or front highs in 9.2. For front highs is rs7 or rb81's overkil.. and for sub position do you want them were they are in the pic or on the inside of the towers..
