I'm looking to finally upgrade to a blu ray player but am interested in it's music playback more than it's blu ray quality. I know the oppo is the most widely suggested, but even 500.00 for the 93 is out of my price range right now. I know a lot of newer blu ray players play sacd format but not dvd a format. I'm curious what concert blu ray's are recorded as? Is it dvd a format? Thanks

Very curious to hear what others have to say. I have the same setup as you run with a Denon 3312 with no amp and I've been satisfied with the sound. Keep in mind these are in a smaller living room, 17x13x8. I've wondered myself what if any gains I would see by adding an amp.

So if I could get them for about $200 for the pair, might as well jump on it? Was thinking of just using them for a 2 channel setup. Thanks
