  1. I appreciate the reply. I'll pull the amp this weekend and take a look to see if any solder's have failed. I agree, I'm not an advocate of built-in amps/subs, but I got an incredible deal on these when Kilpsch discontinued them (over 50% off new) that I couldn't turn down and space was an issue in the other house (no room for the subs). They have been great for home theater, which is their main use. If someone listen's to a lot of 2 channel music, then I would not recommend these. I do have separate klipsch subs for the main level system. But those two 15" subs can rock the furniture in the basement with the right dvd. Hopefully it will be a noticable solder that is easy to detect and re-solder.
  2. Posted this in the subwoofer section, probably should have been posted here: I've had these KSP's since new (6 years old). They've not been moved in 5 years, been hooked up to the same receiver, and I've always used the 2 prong AC adapter. A week ago, one of the subs started to buzz or hum loudly after putting in a dvd. There was no loud surge with this dvd and I keep the sub volume the same all the time and somewhat subdued. This has never happened before and it won't go away, except when I turn that sub off. I've disconnected everything, reconnected it, swapped 2 prong adapters, and plug-ins. Any idea's what's happened? Anybody have this happen on with their KSP's? I appreciate any help. Thanks.

  4. Just in case anyone was interested in the cause? and/or fix. Too many wires on top of each other. Cleaned up the clutter and separated all the wires/cables and this corrected the problem. Not sure which ones were the culprits.
  5. I have the KSP-C6 and KSP-400's attached to a Yam 2095. The C6 sits on top of a Mit 50" TV. The C6 intermittantly quits as Center and the dialogue is sent to the left front main. I can correct this by continually unplugging the speaker wire from the 2095 and plugging it back in. Using 12 ga. Monster Wire with banana plugs. The 2095 sits in an audio cabinet between the TV and the KSP-400. Is this a speaker problem or is the 2095 getting interference from either the TV or the sub on the KSP-400? Appreciate any help in resolving this frustrating problem.
