I like the K.I.S.S. in the Klipsch. I bought them for what they are, Speakers and Amp. If you want DTS, Dolby Pro Logic ect.ect..ect.... Get a sound card that does all that and let the Amp and Speakers do its job

If you have Win98, run msconfig and shut off some programs running in the back ground. Its a bunch of programs that is running at the same time that slows your computer down, not what is on your hard drive. One other thing you can do is the Ctr-Alt-Delete ond turn every thing off, except( Important!)-systray and explore and you'll see a big improvement

But anyway, I had the same problem as you did with certain freqs. This may sound stupid, but with me, it was the sound reverbriating all the clutter on my desk! I cleaned up my desk and the annoying crap went away. Beleive me, I freaked out at first, sounded like it came from the speaker, did some hunting around to get a "FIX", found out it was my loose change and car keys on my desk. Ive keeped my desk cleaned and have no annoying buss at all. For me it was a DUH!

BTY JohnAcres, the Sants Cruz is a 4.1 sound card, you should have a Green and Purple output jack. The green is for your front and the purple the rear.

You cannot confirm that mine works, but I cannot confirm you went at a bad go of it.
Or are you just the compitition and just bad mouthing? But again I cannot confirm it and you cannot disprove it.

The capacitors on the DC side of the power supply will not hurt you ( unless it is the high voltage in a TV set or Transmitter ), What bit you was the AC, nasty stuff to be playing with.

Sounds like you got the BS shuffle to me, what did you exspect? I really don't think High-End Audio Engineers defected to Logitech overnight. Maby I'm wrong.

Use a "Splitter" on the other hand I don't know if it will work out good anyway, I don't know what the output Impedence of the DVD players are. Maby TheEar or DanF can go into little more detail on this one. I do know you'll have trouble if you try it with a Turn Table.

Man, what a hoot! I saw the first link and thought it was cute. As I took a chance on the second link at the same time I was pulling a long one on me beer, and I Sprayed me Monitor! Then my wife came into the computer room to see what I was Laughing/Choking about and she says " Assult with a dead weapen " that made me laugh even harder!

I'm a former U.S.Marine and my Dad was one too. He fought in WWII, Korea and Vietnam (early) Me, Vietnam (late) These people who were killed in the WTC were non-combatents, and we are going to kill them in 5.1 surround THX Sound!

Only if you have a decoder box, If your talking about direct plug into the Pro Media preamp, then no.

Instead of a amp, why not a preamp? Or you can remove the built in amp and hook up direct. Seems like alot of work and defeats the purpose of the Pro Medias.

I sure like to see the pictures, must have been a hoot.
We use duct tape in the fuel bays of Beechcraft King Airs and Super King Airs Turbo Prop Aircraft. We tape up the rivit heads before the installation of the fuel bladders.
