  1. If not for my OCD of the black/gold woofers on my current set up all matching I'd probably take you up on that As I agree that they'd make amazing surrounds! Well thats just not fair. I was all set on selling my RF-83s and RC-64 to build my own system, but now I have to consider these as surrounds. Worst part, I live on the south side of Indianapolis so they are real close, like within my grasp. Oh what to do. PS glad everyone is getting along again.
  2. Just to be clear, no offense taken whatsoever. Heck, as long as it doesn't put off buyers, I'll take the free bumps all day long. Read as: I don't mind if you "put off" (trash others beliefs) as long as I'm making money. Hmmph, well, good luck to you anyways.....they should sell soon. They are quite beautiful speakers. EDIT>>>>Three more free bumps I'm going to assume that this comment is a joke rather than how I originally took it a personal attack on my morality. I'm not sure how this statement could be less offensive than a comment on Obama's added value to a speaker sale, but I choose to not be offended by it. I just don't understand how one is offended by another expressing a different political viewpoint, but to each his own. To be honest, I have tired of this. Is there a way to lock a thread or something. I'll still sell them, but will wait a week or so and start another thread fresh and clean with pics and prices. Unless of course this is against the rules.

  4. I sent you a PM. Assuming your offer to contact him is still good, I will take you up on it. Thanks so much, you are awesome.
  5. RC-64 with grill on. It is in my entertainment center and is a pain to remove. If someone wants to see the veneer I can but unless there is interest then I will avoid causing myself the hastle.
  6. Here are the pictures. This is the first RF-83 with grill on and a nice picture of Obama [] (Obama not included in the sale)
  7. I took the pictures but im not sure how to post them from my computer. Is there a guide on how to do this somewhere? Sorry I'm worthless. []
  8. I will most certainly share my project with everyone. Of course the project is contingent upon selling the other gear and settling on the exact speaker set to build. I really like the statements but I believe they are supposed to be a minimum of 18 inches from the wall so I'm not sure that will work for me. Any how, I am going to take a few pictures of the 83s and 64 to post. I noticed that the RF-83s that some kindly posted earlier are all the black color. Mine are the cherry color, not sure if that matter to people or not as it could mean cherry is more in demand or cherry is not popular. Not sure. Anyhow, I am going to take some pictures for any one who wants to see them.
  9. No Prob. I appreciate the help anyhow. I would imagine the rc-64 is worth more than the rc-7. Am I correct in this?
  10. Thanks for the info. I unfortunately dont have the original boxes. Obviously for shipping that would make it more difficult but I'm sure I can figure something out. You guys are great with all of the fast replies and helpful info. Wish I had come here more often. Since everyone seems so nice, does anyone have any opinion on my plan to build the statements and how they will compare to the RF-83s? I guess I am also assuming that everyone knows what the statements are so here is a link for any that dont. http://speakerdesignworks.com/Statements.html
  11. I'm not sure if I am upsizing or downsizing. I am planning on building an entire set of Statements (mains, center, and minis for the surrounds). I have never heard them before, but it just sounds like fun to build them. I kind of caught the diy bug when I built two subs for the home theater and holy cow are they awesome. I have no idea if the statements will be better or worse, but like I said for some dumb reason it sounds fun. Not to mention there is a well documented step by step guide to building them with diagrams for the crossover and the cabinet. Honestly, to my untrained ear, I doubt I will be able to tell a difference. I guess I will go ahead and post pictures tonight and if anyone is really interested I would be willing to discuss a price. Of course anyone can come by for a listen before they buy. For those that would want them shipped, I have no problem letting a forum member that is nearby come and hear them for you so that you know you aren't getting ripped off.
